A/N Hello everyone, I tried making this a long chapter. It took a different turn than what I expected, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I kinda rushed through the first part because of the whole glitch thing. Hope you guys enjoy it. Please Vote/Comment/Share

David's POV

"Okay kid I'm about to change so look away if you want to."

I got the large blanket ready to cover myself with. Matt seemed intrigued with my transformation due to the fact that he didn't look away from me. He didn't even look scared. When I was finished, I was relieved to see that the kid looked calm. I placed the blanket over my privates and discarded my now ripped clothing. Using a blanket is much easier than squirming around with my large frame to put on basketball shorts. Definitely less hassle.

"Can I pet you?"

Well that's not what I expected. "Um, sure?"

I almost felt like I was in a zoo. And I definitely do not like that feeling. But, his touch was soft and reminded me of Giovanna. With her, I wouldn't mind being petted. She makes me feel human, even when I am a beast.

"You're fluffy." I heard Josh chuckle from the front.

"Fluffy? And here I thought that being a beast added masculinity."

"You're fluffy and masculine. Maybe that's why Giovanna likes you so much."

"Wait, what?" Did he just say what I think he just said? My insides twisted with an amazing feeling.

"Giovanna likes you, but there's a small catch to it."

I practically stopped breathing.

"What's the catch?"

"More like who."

I thought about what the hell the kid was talking about until I gave up.

"Who?"

"She still likes Jesse. That's what's holding her back."

A growl almost escaped me. Anger bubble at the thought of Jesse. Why does she still like him?

"Do you know what her favorite book is?"

Matt pulled me out of my angry thoughts with this unexpected question. I responded almost immediately. "Phantom of the Opera."

"Do you know why?"

"...No."

"It's because it angers her."

"Angers her? Why would it anger her? Doesn't Christine end up with Raoul? And why would it be her favorite book if it angers her?"

"She enjoys thinking of different endings for it. And the reason why it angers her is because she thinks that Christine should've stayed with the Phantom."

"So what does this have to do with anything?"

"Don't you see? You're the phantom and Giovanna is Christine!"

"So you're saying that Giovanna should end up with me?"

"Exactly."

"But, what if she doesn't want me? She deserves normalcy. Not having to deal with my burden."

"Do you even know my sister? All her life, she's wanted anything but normalcy. After Mommy and Daddy died and Giovanna wouldn't talk, Gina told me how she used to act like she was living in her own fantasy. And when you saved us, she wanted to know more about you. It was like she's been waiting for this to happen."
