It was breakfast time at EAH and all the students were eating breakfast in the castleteria. The cascading noise of gossip and chatter might as well have been silence for the quietness of Raven Queen spoke louder than words. She stared down at her French toast covered in fairy berries and powdered sugar. Dexter sat next to her eating his pancakes with sausage as Blondie sat across eating porridge. Darling, Apple and Maddie soon walked over to sit at their table bring their breakfast as well.
"What kind of poison apple did Ivy give you to make you hate her so much?" Darling asked as she rested her helmet on the table next to her smoothie. Raven still stared at her French toast. Dexter sighed.
"Raven, you at least have to eat. It's not just you you're eating for these days." Dexter said acting all fatherly. Raven grabbed her fork and poked at the toast a little.
"I hate that she is back. After everything seems fine again, something always pops up like a wart on a witch." Raven muttered. Dexter held her hand and gave her a small smile, Raven took a bite to make him happy.
"Yeah, but what exactly did she do?" Darling asked once more. Raven finished her breakfast quickly and got up.
"I think I'm going to go to class early, get a head start on my notes." Raven kissed Dexter cheek and walked out.
Across the room, Ivy sat at another table with a plate of sunny side up eggs and toast. Sapphire sat across from her, wings droopy as she looked around. Ivy but into her toast.
"You should eat, keep up your strength." Ivy stated. Sapphire looked back at her.
"It's not to late to just leave..." Sapphire muttered. Ivy raised her brow and pushed a fruit towards her.
"Eat. We have a mission to accomplish and we need to start it off right." Ivy stated as she handed Sapphire a spoon. Sapphire hesitated but grab the spoon and ate.
"Good girl. Now, after your done you need to start phase 1: getting close to Raven." Sapphire stopped eating.
"I know what she did hurt you, but this doesn't seem right." Sapphire commented. Ivy raised her brown once more and smirked as she used her garden witch powers to grow a vine from a garden outside of the window next to them and on the end bloomed her signature Maroon flower. She twirled the flower I her hand.
"Your job is to finish the plan and you get this back." She pulled the glowing blue pendant out of her purse and put it back quickly. Sapphire gulped.
"Follow her, we have 10 minutes before class starts. Plenty of time to start a bond. Go now." Ivy flicked her hand at her as Sapphire flew away. Ivy looked down at her egg again. Her eyes flowed red as she slammed her fork into the yolk, causing it to leak all over her plate.
Sapphire fluttered quickly down the hall but stopped as she saw Raven with her head down in the History of Tall Tales classroom. Sapphire fluttered quietly in and sat down next to her.
"Are you Raven?" Sapphire asked. Raven lifted her head up and looked at her.
"Aren't you with Ivy?" Raven asked bluntly.
"Yes but we transferred from the same school and she was my roommate." Sapphire replied choosing her words carefully.
"I'm sorry but any friend of Ivy is not a friend of mine." Raven stated. Sapphire got nervous but soon cleared her throat.
"You of all people should know not to judge people by who they are close with." Sapphire said sternly. Raven sighed.
"You're right, I'm sorry. Sapphire was it?" Raven said holding out her hand. Sapphire smiled and shook it.
"Sapphire Bluefairy." She said with a small smile.
"Raven Queen." Raven replied. She soon clutched her stomach. Sapphire looked down at her belly.
"When is it due?" Sapphire asked. Raven rubbed her stomach.
"October. My boyfriend, Dexter Charming is the father." She said. Sapphire turned to the side.
"OCTOBER?!" She whisper-yelled. Raven looked at her weird.
"Oh um, October? What a great month to have um... babies." She trailed off nervously chuckling.
"So you decide a name for it yet?" Sapphire asked. Raven smiled.
"If it's a boy, Lance, after Dexter's dad and if it's a girl, Ebony, after my Grandmother." Raven said as she wiped some tears from her eyes.
"Are you okay?" Sapphire asked. Raven nodded as she wiped away the last of her tears.
"Yeah it's just- Life is not what I hexpected for myself at this point. I love Dexter but I don't know if I'm fully ready to become a parent yet. It's not just my life I'm affecting, it's also Dexter's and his family, my family and so on. I'm sorry I'm just dropping this all on you, your just so easy to talk to." Raven chuckled. Sapphire put a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't be. It's a family thing, we are like the guidance counselors of the fairytale world." Sapphire said.
"Hey, me and some friends are hanging out later in Book-End, do you want to join us?" Raven asked.
"Sure, sounds fun." Sapphire nodded. Soon the bell rang and students poured in.
"I don't want to make you late for class." Raven said as Dexter, Apple and Maddie waved to her.
"Actually this is my next class. Go figure." Sapphire said as she pulled out her schedule.
"Well then, you can sit next to me. You can catch up on notes from my hextbook if you want." Raven said as Dexter sat down next to Raven.
"That's sounds fableous thank you." Sapphire said as she got out her supplies.
"Who is this?" Apple asked as she, Maddie and Rosabella sat down in the row in front of them.
"This is Sapphire Bluefairy, my new friend." Raven said. They all waved as Prof. Nimble called attention to the class. Sapphire smiled to herself.
