Raven laid on her bed, pale and ice cold. Dexter did not let go of her hand, it's been 3 hours since Raven went into a coma like state. Soon Milton and Giles Grimm walked in holding an ancient book. The nurse grabbed her clipboard and left the room. She nudged Apple to leave as well, Apple hugged Raven and left the room.
"Okay so we think we figured out what happened to Raven, the tablet posses a dark magic that only the bloodline of the Evil Queen can control. Since Raven activated the tablet, the dark magic is surging through her body and growing by the second. Her body is rejecting the darkness which is draining her. By morning, she will be... Gone." Giles finished sadly. Dexter let a tear roll down his cheek. He could feel the purple frost building up around her.
"We don't know hexactly what to do yet..." Giles said flipping through the book. Dexter was shaking with anger.
"You can't let Raven... Just try!" He put his head on her chest and sobbed. Rose let a tear shed.
"Let us see the tablet." Giles said. Dexter grabbed the key from under her desk and unlocked the drawer. He pulled up the tablet, but it looked... Drained. He handed it to Milton. As soon as he held it, it crumbles into pieces.
"Oh no." Milton said looking at Giles.
"The tablet... The power..." Giles said.
"It's now in her." They both said in unison. Dexter looked up and dried his tears.
"So what now?!" Dexter yelled. More frost built up around Raven.
"We need a cure, a power so vast that can conquer dark magic." Milton chimed in.
"I think right now she is... Stuck." Giles said. They all turned to look at Raven.
************************************************************************** The dark tower with thick cobwebs and dust covering everywhere. Light barely reaching the room, the creaking of the floorboards heard from afar. Creak by creak, the sound grew loud up the wooden stairs. A cough was heard in the dusty room as a figure pulled an old blanket off of the small window above. Dust could be seen floating in the Rays on sunlight. The figure stepped forward  into the sunlight, revealing himself as Dexter to the enchanted mirror that holds the Evil Queen. A cloud of purple smoke erupted from the mirror revealing the image of the Evil Queen herself. Mascara stained tear
Marks ran down her face.
"What do you want you pathetic worm?" She spat out at him.  He rushed aside the remark for Raven's sake.
"Your daughter is dying and she needs your help. What is the tablet doing to her?!" He exclaimed. More smoke erupted from the mirror.
"DONT YOU THINK I KNOW THAT YOU FOOL?!?!" She screamed. That would explain the tear stains.
"Well how do you fix it?!" He replied louder. She huffed.
"It's not that simple you persistent moron. It's coursing through her now, she didn't use it soon enough so now it's draining her." She yelled pacing around her mirror.
"What do you mean 'use it'?" Dexter asked. The Evil Queen sighed and shook her head.
"She didn't use its power to curse someone or poison a land. It needs an outlet, and it's latched onto Raven." She said letting tears falls down. It was very rare that you see the Evil Queen cry, but it this case she couldn't help herself.
"It's too late. I lost my little black bird." She stopped yelling and fell to her knees and sobbed. Dexter backed up in disbelief, he couldn't lose Raven. He soon heard his phone ringing so he answered it. Rose was calling.
"Dexter come quick, it's Raven..."
************************************************************************** Dexter busted into the room to find the nurse hovering over Raven. Rose got up and went to Dexter.
"Dexter, she stopped breathing. They can't hear her heart rate anymore. I'm so sorry." She held her hand to her face and sobbed. Dexter was shaking and tears rolled down his cheeks.
"no... No.... NO!!" He ran over to Raven, her body like ice and lifeless. Dexter grabbed her hands and held them to his lips. The nurse sighed and shook her head.
"She is gone. I'm so sorry." She bows her head and backed away. Rose sobbed and fell on her bed. Dexter sobbed into Raven's hands.
"Raven wake up!! Please don't leave me!!!" He sobbed to the point he couldn't talk straight. He promised that he would protect her, and now she was gone. A vast emptiness grew inside him, he felt his heart get ripped out and shattered.
"We will leave you to say your goodbyes." The Grimm brothers and nurse left the room. They told the students with heavy heart about Raven's death. One of these students, Faybelle, soon felt something she didn't feel often. Guilt. Her wings drooped and her head hung low. Dexter caressed her face, wanting to remember the soft porcelain touch. Faybelle soon bursts through the room.
"I have an idea!" She yelled. Dexter looked up.
"In my story, I have the ability to make a death curse into a curse that can be cured." Dexter pondered this and walked up to Faybelle.
"Why are you helping?" He asked. She sighed and looked at Raven.
"Because even though I am a villain, I'm not her villain. This is my fault, and I want to fix this." She said. Rose came up and hugged her.
"I knew I saw good in you." She sobbed. She hugged back quickly but soon flew over to Raven. She cleared her throat.
"Cold as Ice
  Cursed to keep
  This fair maiden
   In forever sleep."
She finished chanting, a huge wave of blue electricity rushed over Raven. Dexter rushed over to Raven.
"What do we do now?" Dexter asked.
"Since she now has the curse that I am supposed to put on Sleeping Beauty, you have to follow the story." Faybelle said. Dexter looked up.
"A true love's kiss." Dexter turned to Faybelle. She nodded. He looked back at Raven. After the news came out about how to cure Raven, all the students gathered around Raven. All her close friends being by her side as Dexter took in a deep breath. What if he couldn't wake her up? He would lose her and not be her true love. He needed to do it, for Raven's sake. Even if he wasn't Raven's true love, some one was, and he needed her to be alive and happy even if he wasn't with her. He moved closer to Raven and held one side of her head with his hand. He closed his eyes and put his lips on her berry cold lips. A warm feeling rushed through Dexter. After a few seconds, he separated and looked down at her. After a little bit, the frost started to melt and her hue began to return. Her body got warmer and looked like she was filled with more life. People looked at her, Dexter holding her hand and hoping to Godmother that this would work. A few seconds of silence, she hunched up and coughed. Everyone cheered and Dexter shed a tear of happiness. She opened her eyes slowly and took in deep breaths.
"D-Dexter?" She said as Dexter embraced her. He never wanted to let go, he got his princess back. He was her true love.
"I love you so much Raven. I thought I lost you." He said. He looked into Raven's eyes, he didn't think he would be able to do that again.
"I love you too Dex, what happened?" Everyone looked at each other.
************************************************************************** "I can't believe you saved me Dex." Raven was sitting up drinking a glass of water. The dorm was clear except for Apple, Faybelle, Daring, Rose, Cedar, Cerise, and Maddie. Dexter smiled and kissed her once more.
"It wasn't just me..." He looked to Faybelle, she flew up rubbing her arm.
"I'm sorry Raven. I should have listened to you, I hope you can forgive me." Raven smiled.
"I forgive you Faybelle, you did the right thing in the end." Faybelle smiled. Dexter smiled too.
"I never want to lose you again." Dexter said and everyone nodded.
"I don't plan on leaving anytime soon anyways."
