Ten

Donny's POV

Today, I woke up early just because I wanted to join mom and dad to go jogging. Breathing into the cool air of the road is beautiful. What I love about jogging is that it is a communication between you and the nature.

After an hour of jog, we went home and ate our breakfast.

"Kids, be ready for tonight, the Romualdez will be here." Mom said

"Yey! I'm so excited to see ate Sofia!" Solana said it excitedly.

After breakfast, I immediately took a shower. Someone knocked the door. It's manang Jonna.

"Donny, pinapatawag ka ni mommy mo."

"Where is she po?"

"Nasa office niya."

"I'll be there."

After fixing my bed, I went to mom's office. I opened the door seeing her so busy.

"Yes ma?"

"Anak, come here, I'm almost done with your papers for Yale. Just sign here and here."

"Okay po."

I took the paper she told me to sign and I see that it is from the Yale University.

"Here," I said.

"Salamat anak, you can go now,"

I went out of the office and went to Hannah's room, I see a mess.

"When did tsunami came?" I said sarcastically

"I'm filming kasi."

"Why didn't you call me?"

"Because you might be busy."

"Di naman, let me help you na nga."

So I was the one adjusting the focus of the camera, while Hannah continues to talk to it. She's doing her Q&A. I'm just listening to her while I go through my social media and replaying and liking the tweets from my supporters. After she's done filming, I helped her clean her room kasi nakakaawa naman yung kwarto niya parang hindi babae ang natutulog dito.

I check my phone. It's 2:49pm.

I took a shower for the second time and got myself ready for tonight's dinner.

Sofia's POV

After a shoot and some errands, I immediately went home to get ready.

I took a warm bath, I did my make up and my hair. For my make up it is still my signature look which is the natural ones, I just tie my hair with a little bit of a mess. I'm wearing a floral dress, covering it with my denim jacket, I also wear a choker because I thought it was cute and pairing it with some sandals.

It's actually not me, because I'm not wearing black or something. Floral is beautiful and because of him, I see flowers everywhere not grey skies.

After I'm done getting ready, I went downstairs to look for mom and dad. I waited for them a little longer, afterwards we went to the car and head to the Pangilinan's house.

Donny's POV

I'm still at my room going through my laptop, I check my phone. It's 6:09pm.

"Donny, let's go downstairs." Ella said while she opens the door.

"Okay."

We all went downstairs, I see my mom preparing the food while manang and friends are cleaning and others also help mom in the kitchen.

"Nandito na po sila." Manong guard said.

Mom and dad went to the front door while my other siblings are in the living and me and Hannah is in the kitchen.

"Good evening, so gorgeous Kring." Mom said, I heard her voice from the front door all the way to the kitchen.

Hannah and I decided to join my other siblings.

I heard mom calling me.

"Donny"

I walked to the hallway.

"Hm, good evening." I said while I approached tita, tito and Sofia.

"Let's go to the living room," mom said.

Sofia and I were left in the hallway. It was quiet and I broke it.

"How are you ai?

"I'm good. You?"

"Same."

"Bakit ang tahimik mo uy?"

"Inaantok kasi nakakapagod."

"Ganun ba, eh let's go na."

I lead her the way. We all went to the dining area for dinner.

Dinner was so good. The house was full of chats and laughter. As I look at Sofia, she's always beautiful when she laughs.

"Hey Sof, would you mind coming with?" I said laying my hand in front of her.

"Sure, where are we going?"

"Backyard."

I asked permission to them that we're going outside. I opened the sliding door and I can feel the cold air outside. We sit on chairs which is there.

"Sofia?" I started.

"Ano?"

"I'm going to college!"

"Really?! That's so cool."

We hugged each other and there was silence.

Sofia's POV

I can't believe he's really going. I'm not going to see him for months or it might be years. All I have to do is support him. I broke the silence.

"So, tuloy ka na talaga sa Yale?"

"Yes, it's a big opportunity to be in college."

"But, what about your career?"

"I think, it can wait. It sounds lame, but education is very important."

"Totoo naman, pero diba, marami namang universities dito sa Pilipinas, ba't doon ka talaga sa malayo?"

"Kasi, Yale is one of the finest in the whole world. Dream ko rin kasing makapag-aral sa Yale that's why. I also wanted to be independent, kasi in the future, I'll be having my own family and ayaw ko naman always depending to my parents." He explained.

"I see, I'm so proud of you. I'm blessed to have a best friend like you."

He just smiled at me and looking at the stars. We both looked at it, it's beautiful. He looked at me again and hugged me.

I can feel that he's crying. WAHT? He's really crying.

"Are you okay potato?"

"Yes. I think I got something in my eye."

He wiped the tears, he stood up and he held his hand to mine helping me to stand.

He is really tall. He pulled me close to him, his arm around my shoulder and resting his head to my head while walking sabay sabi "I love you buaya. Best friends for life."

"I love you too potato."

A tear fell, because I can't believe he will leave me.

Tita Maricel and mom saw us, they just smiled.

"Aw, these two are the cutest." Tita Maricel said.

After hanging out in the living room, we decided to go home because it was getting late.

This night is one of the best, I get to hang out with the best people I know and with my best friend.
