"You want to stay outside? I have a blanket here." I pointed out a plain black blanket, she nodded. We went out and I placed the blanket in the grass.
I gaze at Sofia and I see her enjoying the fresh air, I feel happy when I see her happy. It's really beautiful up here.
"Look at the stars," as she looks up, panay naman tingin ko sa kanya. I can see her eyes are twinkling like the stars above. We stayed quiet for a moment and all I can hear is the music playing inside the car.
"Are you okay?" I looked at her, she nodded. "I don't see my best friend." I reached for her chin and now we're looking at each other. Nag-iba yung tingin nya sa'kin, from her sad face to something different.
She smacked my hand away, "Wag ano Donny!" Hahaha. "My best friend is back," I hugged her tight, "Baliw," she tried to get out from my tight hug.
"You know what, I regret ditching you. I'm sorry, tama ka nga, I'm a fool. Pinagpalit ko ang best friend ko sa lalakeng 'yon." a tear poured.
"It's okay, I understand." I smiled at her, "Always remember that I'm here for you. Whatever decisions you make, I'm here to support you." I added.
She smiled and hugged me, "Thank you," she said. "I guess I have no date for prom," she shrugged.
"I'm here."
"Really?!" her eyes widen, I chuckled and nodded. "Tayo nalang," she smiled, ano daw? Kami na? Ha di ko gets hahaha. "Tayo na?" my eyes widen, "Huh?" her brows are almost colliding.
"Sira!" she pushed me and we laughed. "Joke lang," I smiled, "Kala ko seryoso kana dun Dons," she shrugged. "Gusto mo ba?" I smirked, "Ewan ko sayo!" she rolled her eyes. We're laughing again.
Nag-usap kami tungkol sa mga nangyayare nung mga panahon na di kami gaanung nag-uusap. Inabot kami ng madaling-araw sa kaka-usap at kakatawa.
"Thank you Donny," she smiled and hugged me before she went out from the car. I waved good bye and went home.
"Donny," dad called out, I looked back and hugged him. "Are you okay? Your mom told me you went to Sofia." he is concerned, "Yes, um, Sofia's boyfriend.. I mean, ex. Cheated on her and she needs me." I explained. "Good job anak," he tapped my shoulder and I went to my room and sleep.
