"You're the one who came up with the idea." Phil shrugged. I groaned. Phil chuckled before leaving, which left me and Grant alone. Ugh!!! I went back to working on my car. Grant watched me work.
"What's wrong with it?" He asked.
"The engine broke a while ago. Can you hand me the screwdriver?" I asked.
"Which type?"
"Philips head." He handed me the screwdriver. I smiled. "Thanks."
"Sorry about the other day." He mumbled.
"It's okay. I get it a lot." I shrugged. "I get it from my dad. I actually take after my dad in everything; building, breaking, partying, being a smart ass, and being sarcastic."
"Yeah. I kinda found some of that out." He chuckled.
"So what're you supposed to train me in?" I asked, putting the screwdriver down and walking over to a table.
"Just basic stuff; using a gun, self defense." He leaned against the table while facing me. I sat up on the table.
"That'll be fun." I sighed.
"Ms. Danielle? A Ms. Jade Goff wants to talk to you. Shall I put her on the overhead?" JARVIS asked.
"Go ahead." I sighed. Jade's face appeared on the screen monitor. "Hey babes."
"Hey!! Ooh! Who is he? Your new friend?" She saw Grant.
"Not friend like what you're thinking." I giggled.
"Are ya sure about that? He looks pretty hot! Wait. Can he speak English?" She asked.
"Yes, Jade. Just because I'm in Rio doesn't mean I speak Spanish." I sighed.
"Can I have him then?"
"Oh my god, Jade! What the hell is wrong with you?!" I put my hands over my face. Grant chuckled. "Why did you call?"
"Two words. One definition. Zach Lockhart. Hotter than hell. But not as hot as your buddy." She grinned. I started pressing buttons, making the screen fuzz.
"Sorry, Jade. I must have bad reception." The picture finally left the screen. "Oh my god. I am, like, so sorry, Grant."
"She was only telling the truth." He shrugged with a grin.
"You're so full of yourself!" I playfully hit his shoulder. He wore a navy blue v-neck, that showed off his biceps, and dark jeans. He caught me looking at his clearly noticeable abs through his shirt.
"I saw what you're doing." He grinned.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I shrugged with a smile.
"Yes you do. You're not stupid." He chuckled. He leaned over to me, his lips were close to my ear. "You were checking me out."
"Bull shit!" I laughed.
"Don't deny it, Danielle." He stood straight up.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Give me the pliers over there." I pointed across the room as I looked back at the car. "The spark plugs are broken. Damn it." I mumbled to myself.
"Here." Grant handed me the pliers. I pulled out the plugs and put them on the table.
"JARVIS? Call dad." I ordered.
"Yes ma'am." Dad's picture appeared on the screen. I sat on the table.
"What do ya need, Danielle? I'm sorta busy with Mark 35. He messed up." Dad sighed.
"Never mind. Do not blow him either. I'll help you when I get back." I pointed my finger at him as he picked up a hammer.
"Fine." He sighed. "I never thought my lil girl would be the one helping me. I always wanted a son."
"Thanks dad." I laughed.
"I'm just messin' with ya. Bye kiddo." He pressed a button.
