I went straight to the shower once I got back to my room. I straightened my blonde hair and put on a pair of jogging shorts with a light green tank top. I finally walked out to the bed and collapsed back on it. Grant came in and sat by me.
"That was inhumane." I mumbled.
"It's called work out." He chuckled.
"It's still inhumane." I laughed. Grant leaned on his arm by me.
"You almost got me in trouble today." He kissed my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Well. Maybe you should just loosen up." I giggled. "So Mr. Agent Ward-
"No. Just no. Its Agent." Grant laughed.
"Well then, Agent Ward." I kissed his nose. "You are adorable."
"Adorable? Since when am I adorable?" He asked.
"Since....... forever." I giggled. He held my hands above my head.
"I'm not adorable. Handsome is the right word." His voice was suductive. Then he ruined the moment by licking my cheek.
"Ewwww! That was so uncalled for!" I rubbed my cheek on his shoulder.
"But it was funny." He chuckled.
"No it wasn't." I groaned. "So super SHIELD Agent Ward is gone?"
"Maybe. Depends on which you like." He grinned.
"Depends on where I'm at and what I'm doing." I shrugged.
"What the hell does that mean?" Grant asked.
"If I'm in bed, I like the assertive Agent Ward, sometimes." I whispered in his ear. "Then I like just Grant most of the time." It took him a while to process everything.
"Ohhhh!" He laughed.
"Yeah. Ya know. Blonde hair might just fit your personality." I smiled innocently.
"No thanks. I'll leave the blonde things to you." He kissed my lips. "You should get some sleep."
"Stay." I held his hand.
"But I can't." He sighed. "I wish I could but I can't. Bye." He kissed me again before leaving. I decided to use that time to call Jeremy and the others.
"Hello?" Jeremy answered.
"Hey, Jeremy." I smiled. "Whatcha doin?"
"Nothin much. We're alone at the tower." He sounded sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked. He took a while to answer.
"First you were all like 'I'm not ready for responsibility' then we turn around and you're flying off to god only knows where with Agent Ward and Coulson." I just let his words sink in.
"You're right, Jeremy." I whispered. "I-I-I-I'm sorry."
"Don't start crying, Dani. Please." I could hear a smile on his face.
"I promise you guys that I'll take us somewhere when I get back. But believe me, being here with all Phil and Grant, isn't all butterflies and unicorns." I sighed.
"You are so weird, Danielle." Jeremy laughed.
"I know." I twirled a strand of hair between my fingers. "But I promise you guys I will do something to make it up to you."
"Okay. I gotta go. Bye Dani."
"Bye Jeremy. Tell everyone else I said hi." I smiled and hung up. I put my phone on its charger and went to bed.
