Once the doors opened, I crossed my arms.
"I respect you, Mr. Rogers, or I used to, at least. But you apparently don't know me enough to talk about me. I've never been self absorbed. I help people with what I can. I donate fucking money to schools, animal shelters, Africa, you name it, I've sent something there. I'm not selfish. When I go out with my friends, I voluntarily pay for whatever they want. And I am definitely not immature. I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Phil. I joke around only to escape from the real fucking world. News comes up of bombings in places and school shootings, that's the real world. I'm not ready for that. I don't want to have to face the real world yet. Because its fucking scarier than hell." I wiped a tear from my cheek. Tears had managed to find their way to my eyes. I really didn't want to cry in front of everyone..... The kids were behind me by now. "I hope you're fucking happy, Mr. Rogers." I pushed through the crowd of the kids and went to the elevator. "Don't let anyone come down to the shop, JARVIS."
"But what if its Mr. Stark?" He asked.
"Don't let him down here either. Is the jet open?" I asked.
"Yes ma'am." I sat in my rolly chair and started to bawl. God. I'm great with pissing people off. "I'm sorry, Ms. Danielle. My orders have been overran by Mr. Stark. He, Agent Coulson, Ward, and Fury are all on their way down."
"Open the garage doors, JARVIS." I stood up.
"Don't, JARVIS." Dad canceled my orders.
"Just leave me alone." I leaned against the wall with my head and hands.
"Danielle-" Dad started.
"I don't want anyone to talk to. I just need time to calm the fuck down." I interrupted him. "I'll talk to you guys when I feel like it."
"Okay, honey. I'll be upstairs if you need me." Dad patted my shoulder before going to the elevator. I kept my forehead on the cool wall. A pair of hands found my hips.
"Danielle. Are you okay?" Grant asked. I turned to him.
"No I'm not fucking okay! You guys are up there talking about me! Why the hell would I be okay, Grant?!" I yelled.
"Calm down, Danielle." He murmured.
"Speaking of people hating me, Fury told me that an agent did a report on me, saying I showed no attempt in wanting to learn. That was you, wasn't it?" I asked.
"Yes." He nodded.
"Why would you say that?!" I shouted.
"Danielle. If Fury were to test your, quote unquote, skills, and they were all a lie, you could get hurt and I could get fired." Grant stayed calm. I pushed pass him and stood by one of the tables.
"Of course. Your job is more important than anything." I muttered. His arms wrapped around me in a backwards hug. His lips planted soft kisses on my neck.
"You just need to calm down." His teeth grazed over my earlobe. I shivered.
"I hate you." I looked over my shoulder at him.
"No you don't." He chuckled.
"Yeah. I do."
"No. Ya don't."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yeah!"
"Nope."
"Yes."
"Baby. I could do this all day." Grant kissed my lips. He lifted me up, and laid me on the table. He ran a hand to my thigh.
"Grant. If my dad walks down and finds you on me, he's gonna send his suits after you, ask questions later." I sighed. He kissed me quickly before getting off me. "JARVIS? Give me the location of Mr. Rogers and Fury."
"Mr. Rogers is in the living room along with Director Fury and everyone else." JARVIS replied.
"Damn it." I groaned and laid back. Grant started to leave. "Don't leave." I walked over to him. He chuckled.
"I thought you hated me." He grinned.
"Psh. I love you, man." I lightly punched his shoulder. He laughed.
