Chapter Nine

"What do you want, Asher?" I ask with a sigh ad he sat me down on a bench. He sat next to me and fiddled with his thumbs. I felt so many glares on my back from girls who wanted to claw my eyes out.
"Look, I am not good at this kind of thing-" he started.
"I'll say," I muttered. He rolled his eyes.
"Let me speak. I see how much me asking about Alex and threatening to talk to your brother hurt you, so I just wanted to say, I-i'm s-sowy," he said, barley saying sorry. I pushed my head forward.
"Y-you're what?" I asked, teasing him.
"I am sorry. Okay. I'm sorry," he snapped. I shook my head.
"I don't know if I can forgive you, Asher," I said, thinking about what he had done.
"Ell-" he was saying but I stopped him.
"I promised myself that after Alex, I wouldn't fall for any other boy in Florida, and I am keeping that promise. Especially towards boys like you. You aren't good for me Asher. I'm sorry," I say, getting up and attempting to walk away, but Asher's firm grip on my wrist stopped me. "Let go!" I hissed through my teeth. He released his hand and let it fall to his side, as if he didn't have any bones and I sauntered off, fixing my backpack.
I made my way back to Garrison and before he had the chance to ask what happened, I muttered, 'Don't ask,' and walked off with him hot on my heels.

By the time lunch came around, girls and boys were whispering to their friends, but it is normal. It got worse when I sat with Garrison and his friends.
There is Lucas. He is the nice one. The sweet one that will help out anyone in need. He is the one you go to to talk. He knows how to keep a secret and doesn't push his limits when you say you're fine. But, when you say you're fine and he can really really tell you aren't fine, he will bug until you tell him. He is also cute so, bonus.
Then there is Summer, Lucas's girlfriend. Summer is more the outgoing yet grungy type. Someone that is less than likely to go out with Lucas, yet they make the perfect couple. She lives on the edge on life and takes risk. She gets in trouble but is very smart and you can trust her with anything.
Then there is Mason who is the more silent type. he is incredibly hot but doesn't notice all the girls falling at his feet. He sticks his nose in his phone all the time and doesn't talk to anyone outside of his group. Trust issues I presume. You can tell him anything because you know he won't tell anyone, but he probably won't listen.
And lastly, there is Aria. She is super outgoing and hyper. She is cute and funny, yet trustworthy. She loves drama and will take any chance to tell the latest school rumors. She is like the twitter of high school. She loves to be happy and is all the time, yet, when she is sad, she doesn't want to tell anyone. She will stare at a wall and look like she is about to break into tears, so everyone hates when she is sad.
But lastly-lastly is just Garrison and I.
Maybe Life does have a plan for me, but then again, life is also live, and live backwards is Evil. So, we'll see...

A/N
So, there is chapter nine. We are getting somewhere with this book. I know this chapter is short, but I wanted to take time to introduce the characters and I felt like writing after that would be awkward so I just added that little script, but I don't know. Is that just me? Please tell me I am not the only one. Oh well. I love you forever and ever and ever, okay?
Don't forget to share, comment, and vote.
Much love,
-Alyssa
