"What do you want to watch now?" My dad called from the movie cabinet. He pulled out the movie Spaceballs and of course I agreed, Who wouldn't?

We settled in and watched the movie. I'm moving out tomorrow so it's good to spend some time with my dad. It's not that I'm going away, just growing up; since I just graduated high school, I'm moving out during the summer so that I can become adjusted to it before next year.

After about 15 minutes in walked my older brother, Matthew, with the food. "He's only staying for a minute then we'll leave." Me and my dad were both confused until in walked Cameron behind him.

Cameron smiled politely at us and continued into the house. I rolled back over sprawling across the couch to continue watching my movie. I've been through this enough to know not to pay attention. Once, I let on to my mom that I thought Cameron was hot, because face it; he's drool worthy, and after that she didn't allow him over for a long time. All I can do is sit and act like he doesn't matter.

I sat there for a while until I was sure that he was gone and got up to get some food. I could hear Matt and Cam laughing from Matt's old room. I took a deep breath and went to eat my food in the living room.

Matt came in saying that he and Cam were gonna spend the night with that, I went up to my room I drew, read, and watched netflix for a while. When I looked at the clock I realized it was past two in the morning.

With the lights still off I went downstairs to the kitchen. I poured myself a tall glass of milk and hopped on top of the island. It was dark so I thought it would be ok to think for minute. All the different things that tear at me. The different people that strive to make my life miserable, the people who have told me I'm not good enough, and even the people who don't realize it, but their every action gets over-analyzed and makes me doubt that they actually care about me. I ended up just a slumped over mess. Geez, I'm a freak.

"Jade? Is that you? What's wrong?" Dammit, what did he want. Why can't he just leave me in peace!

Cameron walked over to where I was and opened the fridge so the light would cast over us. "I don't even know," I muttered.

He laughed and walked over to the island with me. He looked me right in the eye and said, "... if you want to talk," I got the message and couldn't help but smile. I couldn't deny how he made me feel.

He slightly chuckled and hopped up with me. We just sat for a minute until I saw some leftover macaroni in the fridge, "If we're gonna stay up we might as well eat," I muttered.

Once the mac and cheese was reheated we ate and talked for a little while until we realized what time it was, it was almost five and we could hear my dad getting ready for work. "If he catches us he'll kill us," Cameron thought aloud. He led us upstairs to... MY ROOM! What is he thinking, my room is an even worse option. If Dad saw us in there it'd be all over.

He shut the door and told me to hush. With a silent huff I plopped my butt onto the bed. He smiled and walked over to where I was.

I took this moment to take in his features for the hundredth time. Strong, athletic build, young face with an innocent, devastating smile, blue eyes, dirty blonde, well maintained hair, and cheek bones no man ever deserved. He gave me a little wink. Oh god, he must have realized I was checking him out.

I blushed and looked away really fast. He whispered to me, "Like what you see?" With that I spat out an I'm sorry so fast I'm not sure if he heard. "Don't be," he said charmingly.

I went to say something but Cam covered my mouth and pointed to his ears. I listened and could hear my dad walking past my room. When we heard him finally leave we both let out a sigh of relief.

He looked at me, his eyes were so sad, "You know, you really hurt me. Why didn't you notice me? When I walked in, it's like you didn't even care."

I shook my head no, "No, that's not it, I just..." I can't just tell him I've always thought he was one fine ass hunk of man.

"It's fine, I'm sure you have your reasons," he said. He looked me in the eyes as if he were trying to communicate something to me. Then he said, "I'd better sneak back and get to bed before Matt wakes up. I'll see you soon," he muttered.

I went to bed after that and slept much later than usual. It was 12:30 by the time I woke up and apparently Matt and Cam left after eleven. So much for seeing him soon.

At around three I left for my new apartment and by five I was for the most part settled. I figured I'd done enough and could chill until tomorrow. Sadly though, my plans were thwarted.

First book, first chapter! Yay?
