Ok, breath... Ok. You're ok. It's ok. I told myself this over and over trying to take in how this could happen. Just think, he's a freaking werewolf if he wanted to hurt you he could have, and he's had a number of perfect opportunities to. Ok. You're ok.
"You would've hurt me by now if you were gonna right?" I asked him while he was still hugging me and drying my tears.
He stared at me like I just said the dumbest thing in the world, "Jade, never and I swear to you, never would I hurt you. While we're overwhelming you with facts about me; a werewolf has a mate.. you don't live under a rock I'm sure you can guess what that means."
"... So, is this like where the dude, you know... like, by some unseen force of nature is attracted to a girl?" I asked skeptically, knowing that if I was wrong I was gonna have to kill myself cause that was strange.
He just looked down and nodded, "Basically yeah, I'm really protective and crave your attention, company, and affection," I saw him blush a little, "Anymore questions?"
I just stayed silent so he continued, "More fun facts," he said with a smile, "Neat thing about us wolves: the wolf side of me is like a whole different person. His name is Kaigen, he always wants to be around you, of course that feeling is mutual between me and him. Anyway, Kaigen is like a whole other person with me, he's always giving me advice about how I'm supposed to treat you, and when I get extremely angry like I was with Jasper, Kaigen... comes out to play. When I shifted earlier that was him too."
Ok. Well that's nice. 'And if you focus we can talk to each other through a mind link.' He said while in my head with a little eyebrow bop.
"Stop it, not only is that weird, but it hurts my head," I told him with scrunched up eyebrows. He nodded hugged me a little more, "Well its been an... exciting night, but I should go to bed."
"Oh... right, I guess I'll let you go to sleep, I'm sorry, goodnight." He said as he got up to leave. I pulled myself into a sleeping position and laid down.
I woke up and rolled over, if I just don't get out of bed ever will anyone notice? I went back to a blissful sleep, knock knock, "Shoo fly."
Rude old fart, just busted right on in, "Aren't you hungry?" I squinted my eyes at him, I'm always hungry.
"Child, if the food isn't done imma have to hurt you," I told him every ounce of playfulness gone. I'm a girl who only lives to eat and sleep.
He rolled his eyes, "Lucky me I guess, I made pancakes and sausage. Get up you lazy bum." I squinted at him as he sauntered out of the room. Brat child.
The second I stepped out of my room I hit a wall of delicious sausage heaven. I kid you not, ran to the kitchen. God I love food! I threw as much food as my plate could carry and my weight in syrup onto the plate. I carried it to the table not caring where Cameron was, or about the fact that that I was about to eat as much as a shark.
"Want some pancakes with your syrup?" He asked, smiling at his own joke. I just nodded and continued to stuff my face. "Please don't choke I'm not very good at the hymlick."
"I may be a pig, but I'm not gonna choke," I said with a pointed look. I shoved the last bit of food into my mouth and plopped back full and about to burst. "That's some gooooood food!"
He grabbed my plate, "I would hope," I hopped up and took my plate from him. He doesn't need to wash my plate I'm not useless. He let me, and then we went to the living room.
It's kinda short but oh well. I just realized how awkward this book is cause my actual brother's friend is named Cameron and he completely slipped my mind until now... oops
