"... WHAT IF I CAN'T FORGET YOU?!.." Me and Matt's favorite song, Caraphernelia by Pierce the Veil, blared through the speakers in his truck. I headbanged as Matt nodded his head and drummed his fingers to the beat.
The song ended and as it did my head kind of hurt, but I loved the rush the song gave me. We rolled down the street and uo to Cameron's house. Matt didn't quite understand why he was just so clingy. I couldn't really tell him, "oh you know we have an inserperable, supernatural bond."
Yeah I'd love to see the look on his face. We all hung out for a few hours before Matt decided it was still me and his day. He for some reason took me to a big party some guy was throwing. We rolled in at about 10:30 and the party was in full swing.
Matt had forced Cam to stay behind for some reason. I figured I'd just stay next to Matt cause he was the only person I knew here. I never had too many friends, I only ever had a few and they've all gone their separate ways.
Matt led me into the house. It took everything I had not to vomit. The smell of liquor, smoke, and sweat floated to my nose. I'm not antisocial or anything, I just do not understand what people like about parties.
The moment we walked through the door though, Matt was swept away with his buddies. I knew I couldn't leave cause if he got drunk I'd have to drive home and if for some reason he started looking for me and didn't fund me he'd have a cow.
I aimlessly weaved through the flood of people, trying to find the jocks where I knew Matt would be. I eventually found them and Matt was lip locking with some random chick. I let out an exasperated sigh. I'm not gonna deal with this.
I turned to a guy I somewhat recognized. He'd changed a little but he was on Matt's basketball team in highschool, "Hey John," he turned to look at me, "I'm leaving make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." I sent Matt a text telling him I left and was out the door, it wasn't too far of a walk to my place, or Cam's. I wasn't quite sure where I wanted to go.
My self debating was cut off though when I heard something in the woods to my right. Oh the joy. I stopped and stared where I thought I'd heard it.
My muscles tensed as I waited for whatever it was to move again. Finally I could make out what looked like a... SHIT! That's a bear!!! I took of sprinting. I fell down from sheer terror when something massive went sailing over my head. MOTHER OF JESUS IT'S ANOTHER ANIMAL!!!! I turned on my back side and scooted away.
My head started to hurt, 'chill ok, Jade. It's me Kaigen, Cameron's cooler, wolfy self.' Holy-son-of-a-motherless-goat.
Ok... slowly back away from the bear that's about to eat your boyfriend. 'It's offensive how little faith you have in me.' He said. I ended up turning and running away. No way was I gonna stay and watch whatever the hell was about to happen.
I decided to go to Cam's place. That way whenever he gets back I can see him and make sure he's ok. I was seriously worried about him. I sat on his coach mindlessly watching tv, waiting for his door to open. Not too long after I'd gotten there the back door was pushed open, I popped my head around, the first thing I thought of was a burglar.
Relief washed over me when I saw... Kaigen, Cameron. Whatever his name is trot through the door. He looked at me and dashed upstairs to Cameron's room. Not 10 seconds later shirtless- let me just stop here to admire his abs... oh wow- anyway where was I? Yeah so, Cam came in, "Are you ok? Why the hell were you alone!?" He was running his hand through his hair frustratedly as he examined me checking for bumps, bruises, and broken bones.
I swatted his hands away, "I'm fine! Matt went off with some friends and I didn't really know anyone so I left," I snapped. He kinda scrunched up his face but didn't say anything.
He pulled me right up next to him and squished me into his side, "Where did you come from? I thought for sure I was that bears dinner."
"... well, funny story actually..." he kinda trailed off, "I was a little nervous leaving you all day so I kinda followed you guys and when you were walking I was about to go out and walk with you, but then the bear and yeah."
I figured.
