"AYYYYEEE! BATTER BATTER! BATTER! SWWWING BATTER!" Matthew turned to me with this look that had 'shut up you idiot' written all over it. I grinned happily and shrugged. He knows he loves me.

I saw "God's gift to the world" Kelby at the mound. He was signed to pitch at Rice University his junior year. He was verbally promised it his freshman year, and believe me, he was proud of it. He acted as though he was the only person on the team who actually mattered. Matt and I hated that ass-hat.

I could physically see the hatred rolling off of him. Kelby smirked cockily as he through inside upper fastball. That was Matt's worst pitch, he was never able to hit that. And of course he missed.

Matthew stepped out for a second. He composed himself. As he stepped into the box my heart stopped, "CHOKE UP!" He wouldn't... why? I turned to my right and gazed down the length of the fence, there stood the one person I wished would just pick; stay home, or stay away.

He must have felt my gaze as the only ass-hat bigger than Kelby, turned to face me. He didn't smile, he didn't greet me, he just turned back to watch Matthew. Matthew was just as taken aback as me by Brennan because he sung at an obviously low ball and stroked again. The cat calls from the other teams dugout were growing annoying.

Then it happended. Me and Matt have this amazing ability to focus. It just clicks. In that instant, our goal is the only thing that matters. You could see it when Matt played football, too. It was written all over his posture, he had read the play and was about to bust through the line amd make the greatest play youve ever seen. Nothing else has ever come close to the power of us when we're in the zone.

Kelby didn't seem fazed at all. I saw it, written on the look on the jerk's face; curve ball to outside. Come on Matt, read it. Read it he did. The hit was perfect. It was hard, you could tell just in the swing.

The sound that erupted through the park was breathtaking. Then it happended... the ball hit Kelby in the face! Matt hauled it to second before anyone could realize that Kelby was even in pain. Their shortstop stepped up and stopped Matt on second.

I grinned, he deserved it! I'm pretty sure his nose was broke, he had a concussion, and that it'd chipped a tooth. He was just coming to, as he slowly pulled himself up and stumbled to the dugout. He's fine, I thought as I rolled my eyes.

Cameron was barely controlling his laughter as he practiced his swing while waiting for a backup pitcher to take the mound and warm up. I felt a pressure in my head, 'This is why me and your brother are friends! That was priceless! What a way to bring him down a peg!" You're a terrible person, I thought smiling.

I looked up to see Matt looking at Cam making a 2 with his arms, some dumb thing he picked up from some video. I really question why I love these two.

Eventually, Austin Scarborough took the mound. He's alright, not a total jerk. First pitch, Cam knocked it clean into right feild. He made it on first and as I cheered I got the meanest look I could ever imagine. I could feel the gaze burning holes in the side of my face. Dammit Brennan, no one even wants you here.

Brennan then got the genius idea to come stand by me. I wasn't in the mood to sit on the bleachers so I was standing by the fence, fairly close to the dugout, whereas Brennan was originally behind home plate. He gave me a fake grin, "How's my sister?"

I raised an eyebrow, "Oh, you know, just living life." I shrugged, not at all in terms mood to converse with him. That reminds me of a joke; how do hipsters talk about shoes? They converse! FOCUS JADE, THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT!!!

Brennan seemed unaffected by my answer, as if he wouldn't have cared no matter what my answer was. I couldn't concentrate on anything going on with the game with the world's biggest bastard right next to me. Before I knew it, it was over, geez I'm a terrible person. Not even caring about my boyfriend's nor my brother's game.

As the guys filed out of the dug out I made my way to the boys, hugging Matt the same way I did back when he was in school after a game, then doing the same to Cameron. Only I didn't walk away after I hugged him, we just walked around with his arm over my shoulder.

I realized I was little too happy, "Where's the ass-hat and Matt?" It took Cameron a minute to realize who I was talking about. He stood there for a minute before dragging me to the exit.

"Nooo, I want to find my favorite and least favorite brothers." I said dragging him back to the ball park. He huffed and led me into the dugout.

I'm not exactly surprised by what I saw, Matt and Brennan were arguing about something and hadn't  noticed us yet. "What the hell?! Did you not listen to a thing I said, Why show up if all you're going to do is cause problems?!" Matt quietly hollered.

Brennan's eye twitched in annoyance, "You stupid little kid!" He reared back and punched Matthew in the jaw. I saw Matt take a step or two back and look up a blithering rage shining in his eyes.

Oh hell, back up! Run for the hills, you do not want to be the one to break these two up when they're in a fight. I once tried and they almost knocked me out. Matt stood up defiantly and as he did Brennan went to throw another punch, but Matt hit him in the stomach before he could. Brennan doubled over, but before you could realize what was happening he grabbed Matt and shoved him against the wall of the dugout.

Cameron went to step in and I would've stopped him if I was thinking straight. Watching these two fight was one of those thing that makes you want to turn away and cry but you just can't. All you can do is watch. Cam grabbed Brennan from behind, restricting both of his arms. All that this did though, was open up Matt an opportunity to land a good hit.

Cam struggled to pull Brennan further away from the punching machine in a blind rage, "Dammit Matt, back up!" Cam turned and threw Brennan on the ground behind him as he grabbed Matthew and pushed him away.

I saw Brennan peel himself off the ground and wipe blood from his mouth, "Oh look who it is? Mr. Perfect himself, Jade's knight in shining armor! Guess what asshole, no one wants you here. And no one fucking wants you to date the brat either! All you're doing is making our lives miserable by watching you two mistakes act like you're in love! Just get lost you stupid waste of space!"

Now I've met a good number asshole in my day, but there are boundaries. Don't you dare fucking cross them and think that it's cool! Sadly though, I'm not the kind of person to do anything. You can only do so much, try to reason with a person for so long, before the right decision is to walk away. So that's what I did.
