I failed at trying to be sneaky as I peered over Cam's shoulder, "Who ya textin'?" I craned my neck and tilted my head, still trying to get a good view.
He turned to me with an odd grin. It then pulled into a true smile as he saw the pose I was in. I had pulled myself to where the top of the couch was under my hip bone and hiked one leg up to steady myself. I laid both of my arms across the seat the back of the seat and stretched my neck out as far as it could go. He lightly chuckled in his perfect little voice, "You freak! I was texting your bother!" He had to pause between laughs. I don't get what's so funny, "he got the baseball team together, we're gonna have a game."
Oh. My. Fudrucker! Baseball! Oh VICTORY IN JESUS!! MY SAVIOR, FOREVER!! HE SAUGHT ME, AND BOUGHT ME, WITH HIS REDEEMING BLOOD!! My victory song blared through my head. I always do a weird little victory dance and yell that at the top of my lungs when something good happens.
Does no one else understand the joy of seeing a guy in baseball pants?! Baseball pants for girls are like the equivalent of yoga pants for guys. If a guy wants to check out a girls backside, he's gonna see it all when she wears yoga pants. When a baseball player wears his pants... words do not describe the joy.
I cleared my throat trying to sound like I didn't just have a mental celebrational parade, "Oh really, when?" Damn, I could be an actress. Being able to contain myself so well.
He looked at me struggling to contain a laugh, "It's tomorrow, Matt and I are gonna go to the cages and practice a little today. Wanna come?"
Why is he trying not to laugh... oh.... fudge-nugget! Stupid little mind thingy! Act cool, "Nah, I'll just chill here."
He smirked cockily, "Ok then. Um, we're headed there in half an hour so I'm should go change." With that he left the couch and headed to his room.
He came back decked out in a tight, sleeveless, under armour shirt. He also had on a basic pair of basketball shorts and some tennis shoes. "Alright Little bit, I'm bout to leave. See ya later."
I turned to him, "Bye big dog!" I settled down to watch Moneyball the greatest baseball movie of all time! The baseball vibes were flowing through me. The pants aren't the only reason I love it. I was never big on actually playing the sport, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't raised to love. Brennan and Matt both played and so did my dad. I was raised off of the sport and the pants are just an added bonus.
My favorite line was coming up, I quoted it with Brad Pitt, "The problem is, there are rich teams and then there are poor teams. Then there's 50 feet of crap! And then there's us!" Oh I love this movie.
Cameron came back a little over an hour later. He was sweaty and his perfect hair was sticking to his forehead in curly little tuffs. I could smell him from the couch though as he made his way towards me, his arms open for a hug, "NOOOO! Go shower!"
He huffed as he rolled his eyes making me hug him anyway. I made a gagging noise as he pulled back and he laughed as he headed to his bathroom.
