After about an hour of us watching tv and laughing, I realized that I have an apartment and should probably stay in it. "Cam, I need to get my car and go home," I saw his face somewhat fall a little as I said that.
"I guess, why though?" He questioned, with a little bit of astonishment in his voice, "I mean, I get its a little weird and all, but I thought you were growing... accustomed to it."
I looked at him, I wasn't trying to offend him, "I just think that cause I have an apartment, I should probably use it, plus my car is still at the theater from the other night," I grinned out of the corner of my mouth.
"Ok then, I can't stop you," he said as he reached for his keys, "Let's go then."
I ran and grabbed my bag of stuff I brought with me and piled into his car. He drove us to the theater and it was a little awkward. I started to get out of the car until I saw Matt! "That's Matt, I can't let him see me with you he'd beat me!" I quietly said to Cam in a panic.
Cam just turned off the car and sat for a minute, "Then we'll wait," he muttered. His sassiness was showing, Cam had always had an abundance of sass in him. If he wasn't such a masculine hunk I would think he had too much estrogen.
He narrowed his eyes as he looked at me, "You and Matt and extremely different you know. Not just your looks, but they are very different. You have green eyes, he has blue. You have light brown hair, while his is dark. It doesn't end there though; Matt's kinda quiet and his easy, go with the flow personality let's people know he's fine with them. It opens the door for people to walk on him, you've seen it. You on the other hand, you're strong willed, only letting certain people be your friend. It let's people know that you aren't gonna stand for no crap. It makes you strong, your brother might be a slim boy with every small pound of him being made of muscle, but you're emotionally stronger than he'll probably ever be."
"You're very strange. You never acted like this before," I didn't realize I whispering until he whispered back.
"I never thought I'd be able to get close to you. I was friends with Matt before I knew you were my mate. Opportunities like these never would have been possible. I figured I just damned," the look on his face was mellow and sincere. All I could do was look down. It's not fair that certain people can be so good with words and I'm a blubbering idiot.
"I have no idea what goes on in your head," he whispered.
"Is that a good or bad thing?" I asked once I saw Matt enter the theater. Cam saw it too so I made a move to get out of the car.
"It's an interesting thing," he muttered as he waved me a goodbye. I felt pressure mount on me as I hurried to my car, praying no one saw me get out of Cameron's car.
I made it to the sanctuary that was my ride and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I started jamming to some music as I drove back to my... home I guess. It is mine, I can call it that, right?
The ride was easy and quick and by the time I got home I felt very relaxed. I went to my apartment and before I could shut the door there stood Cam. "Yes?" I fluttered my eyelashes sarcastically.
He smiled sheepishly, "Do I have to go to my house?" I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the way. He grinned like he was a genius and marched into my humble dwelling.
