After getting settled I went to run myself a bath. While it was running I poured myself a coke to drink while I was soaking.
Knock. Knock. Why can't I be left in peace! I thought as I trudged to the door, ha, that's my door! That's kind of cool. When I opened the door there stood Cameron.
"Matt was gonna bring you this but he got sick," Cameron muttered. In his hands were a present all wrapped up nicely.
I squinted my eyes at him, "Matt doesn't know how to wrap a present." Ohhh busted!
Cameron turned red, "Well.. it was just a wadded up pair of pants so I thought I could at least wrap it up nice." He said embarrassed. I laughed and opened it.
My face grew to a huge grin. It was the most comfortable pair of joggers ever! Holy crap, Matt really does have a heart! "Oh, victory in Jesus! He really does have a soul," I yelled!
Cam chuckled and then it got kind of awkward so I invited him in to watch some tv. We sat on the couch and I got kind of hungry so I made us some ramen. I didn't have a whole lot of food but I will ALWAYS have ramen.
We ate and laughed and it was nice. Then I saw the pants, "Boi howdy, imma go put these pants on!" I could hear him chuckle as I ran to my room.
I quickly put the pants on and when I went to go back to the main room my feet were wet. Why is there water in here, "CRAP, THE BATH!!!" I screamed!
I sprinted to the bathroom and could hear Cam running behind me. I threw open the door to have more water rush at me. It was up to my ankles! I hurried to the tub and shut it off. "What do I do? It's my first day by myself I can't let my parents find out!"
He rubbed my back, "I can call some people to clean it up, but you'll have to stay somewhere else."
"I don't have anywhere to stay. All of my friends left on vacation and if I stay with Matt he'll end up ratting me out," I muttered.
"Y...you... you can stay with me," he stuttered. I deadpanned. Is he serious. "You don't have to, I get that's kind of weird, I just figured cause you didn't have anywhere else, and I have the space and... yeah..." he trailed off.
I do need somewhere, "Are you sure?" I asked skeptically. He nodded, "Thank you."
"You'll really stay? I'll call while you pack some clothes, ok?" Oh dear God, how am I about to stay over at this beautiful man's house.
I went to my room and packed some necessities then went to the living room as Cam was finishing up a call. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded as he grabbed my bag and led the way to his car.
I climbed in and thanked him again for letting me stay at his place, "You won't tell anyone, right? Please." He looked at me and nodded. "Oh thank you so much!"
He grinned, "My door's always open, little bit." I was a little put off by the nickname, but it's Cameron, I can't be that upset.
We pulled up to his house. I was a little taken aback until I remembered that his parents had a lot of money and after they died he inherited everything, including their house.
"Wow, I've never seen your house," I whispered. I don't know how he heard me but he shrugged it off. He led me inside and showed me upstairs to a nice room. He placed my bags at the foot of the bed.
"So... my room is across the hall and we can fix some popcorn and watch a movie if you want," he said awkwardly. I smiled as to say 'yes'. As he led me downstairs to the kitched. I hopped onto the counter and watched him cook some popcorn. It's funny to see a grown man, a hot one at that, squinting to read the directions on the bag.
I think he heard me chuckle cause he looked up and gave me a sassy look, one that said, 'something funny missy.' He finished with the popcorn and we went to the living room to watch a movie. He asked if I wanted to watch Happy Gilmore, what kind of question is that. That's my favorite movie of all time. "HECK YEAH!!" I yelled at him.
We both plopped on the couch with the popcorn bowl between us. Me and Cam quoted just about every line in the movie. I was rolling in laughter by the time the movie was over I was crying from laughing so much. I looked Cam dead in the eye and with complete and total seriousness; every ounce of playfulness subsided, "Billy Madison?"
We continued to watch movies until I passed out. When I woke up you can imagine my surprise when Cam was sitting right next to me, holding my hand, messing with my hair. "Having fun there?"
He jumped out of skin, "I'm so sorry!" He turned beet red and scooted away from me.
I took a page out his book, "Don't be," I whispered.
