Chapter 23

Memories

I woke up to see waffles on the table; Tyler was cleaning the floors with Mr. Clean. I asked, “Baby, I want to know your life story.” He asked, confused, “My life story?” I muttered, “Yeah!”

He started, “Well, since the day I was born, I was a vampire, and then when I was 16, my mom died of medication overdose. So then after the funeral my step-dad took me into his room, and he told me he wanted to talk. He told me that he was leaving me behind, and he was going to England. I asked if I could come, and he said no because he was going to live a single man, and own clubs all around England."

He continued, "I told him that I could get a job, but live with him, but he still said no. I have a feeling he was the one who overdosed my mom, because before she died, my dad was with my mom home alone, I was at my friend Bob’s birthday party. So yeah anyway, when I said good-bye at the airport, I immediately signed up for a cooking class."

He took a deep breath and continued, "At first I had a cleaning lady, and she taught me how to do the laundry, wash the floors, and just keep the house clean.” I was so interested that I told him, “Tell me more.”

He bit his lip, and mumbled, “Well, before my mom died, when I was 12, I was kidnapped by a man, and for a couple of days I was a slave, until the police found me and arrested the man."

He added, "I wanted to use my vampire, to bite his neck and just feast on his blood, but I was still training at that time, and I wasn’t sure how to complete the killing. When I turned 13, I got a medal, sent from the king and queen. The medal was for my complete training on becoming a full vampire.”

“I swear, I can make a book out of your life story, and it’ll get a million hits!” I exclaimed. He laughed, but then pouted. “Aw, baby what’s wrong?” His eyes were watery. He mumbled, “You don’t know how much I miss her.” My eyes got watery too.

“Baby, I’m sorry.” He replied, “She was the only one I could talk to, she’s the only one who really cared about me.” He added, “My dad didn’t care about me, neither did my brother.” A tear rolled down his cheek. “Baby, you have me, don’t ever forget that.”

He nodded, tears rolling down his cheeks. “I miss her so much.” He choked out. I stood up and hugged him. “I know baby. Even though my dad is weird and annoying, I miss him so much. He is my father, if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here right now.”

I kissed his lips, and he kissed back. He put his arms around me, and we hugged. “Baby I love you so much.” He mumbled. I started to cry in the pocket of his shoulder. “I love you to.” I choked out. We stood there, hugging for so many minutes.

I released, and I stared into his eyes. His face had tear stains. I giggled a little, and when I did some tears fell. He smiled, and I mumbled, “We lost people who meant a lot to us, but let’s thank God that we are here, together.”

He nodded and kissed me again. “You changed my life, babe.” He told me. I replied, “You don’t know how much you changed my life.” He smiled and told me, “I want to be with you for the rest of my life.” I smiled, tears kept on falling from my eyes.

He wasn’t crying anymore, but his face was stained of tears. I asked, “Baby, is it true that vampires live forever?” He started to cry again, but he was smiling, and he choked out, “No, we die like everyone else.” I asked, “So when I die, I’ll see you in heaven?” He smiled and nodded.

“I love you.” He mumbled, “Me too.” I ate my cold waffles, and was watching a romance movie called, ‘Love at First Sight.’ It’s about a girl, who met a guy, and he dumped her then they got back together, got married, and had 2 children.

This was my favorite movie. I watched it 6 times. Tyler was watching it with me, and I was crying through the whole thing.
