Chapter 33
The Hospital
Carissa’s P.O.V:
I walked out the doors, while Nathan went back inside. I pulled out my phone, and went to my contact list.
I scrolled down, and clicked ‘mom.’ I pressed ‘call,’ and put the phone up to my ear. After a couple of rings, I heard my mom’s voice, worry in it.
She answered, “Hello? Carissa?! Is that you?!” I let out a breath of happiness, that she was fine.
I replied, “Yeah, hey mom.” She asked in a soft voice, but you could hear the tension in it, “Where are you?”
I mumbled, “Mom, I’m in Transylvania. Mom, I got to tell you something.” She spazzed out, “What, Transylvania? What the fuck?!”
Her voice softened, like butter, as she continued, “No, I got to tell you something first. Honey, remember when I told you I was watching a movie at my friend’s house?”
I stuttered, “U-um, yeah, why?” She answered, “Well, we weren’t watching a movie, and I think, I think I might be, I think I might be pregnant.”
My whole world stopped. PREGNANT?! WHAT THE LIVING FUCK?!
I exclaimed, “Pregnant?! What do you mean pregnant?! How, when, where?!”
There was a pause, as my mother choked out, I could hear her moaning while she cried, “Baby, I’m so sorry, this is my entire fault. I never wanted to get pregnant,”
I cut her off, “But you did.” I muttered. She cried, “Yes, and I am so sorry, please forgive me.”
I scrunched up my lips, as tears fell from my eyes. I muttered, “You know, this was exactly what I was afraid of.”
Click.
I hung up.
I stomped back inside, and saw a girl serving the Queen and King. Nathan was nowhere in sight. I bit my lip.
I got to get to the hospital, but how? All of a sudden, realization hit me. I should just hotwire Nathan’s car!
Yes, I learned how to hotwire… I ran out of the building, looking for Nathan’s car.
I guess he always kept it in the parking lot, behind the building. I didn’t know what car was his, so I ran back inside the building, and found Nathan.
I fluttered my eyes, just to soften him up, and asked seductively, “Hey, Nathan, what’s your license plate?”
He narrowed his eyes, and asked, “Um, why?” I froze. What do I say?
I mumbled, “Oh, I just wanted to check out your car, that’s all.” He smirked and replied, “BNM-543”
I nodded my head, repeating the digits over and over in my head. I exclaimed, “Alright, well, thanks!”
I ran out of the building, and ran toward the back of the building.
I entered the little ghetto parking lot, and scanned each car’s license plate. I finally came to the last car; it was a blue, Hyundai.
I scanned the license plate… bingo. I sprinted over to the driver’s seat door, and tried to open it… locked.
“Fuck!” I screamed. I have an idea. I got my shoes, which were heels, and with the point I smashed the window, causing the alarm to go off.
