Chapter 39
Apologizing
I shot up from my seat, and ran inside of the airport. When I was in, I looked around, shielding my eyes because of the sunlight that the glass roof was giving off.
“Tyler?” I shouted, craning my neck from left to right.
Then, I finally saw him, drinking some water at the café.
I ran towards the café, and sat down in front of him. We were sitting at a booth.
“Yes, old friend?” He said, disappointment in his eyes, but a little kick of sarcasm was thrown in there.
“Tyler, you’re not serious… right?” I asked.
He chuckled, and said flatly, “Yes, I’m serious. It was not my decision for us to break up. I was going to propose to you, but you decided to break up with me."
He continued, "That is not my fault. And don’t expect me to take you back, because it’s not going to happen, any time soon, at least.” He recited.
It felt like I got stabbed in the back a million times when he finished reciting his speech.
“No, Tyler, you know me, I make stupid mistakes, and then something bad always happens. You know that. Please Tyler, I apologize, I should have known better."
I continued, "I’m a bitch, a stupid faggot, a fucked up bastard, anything. I ruined our relationship… just because I got mad. Please, Tyler, take me back. Please?”
I begged. He sighed, and turned his head.
He pursed his beautiful, purple lips, and insured me, “It’s foolish to call yourself those bad words, because you aren’t those bad words."
"It was your choice to break up, and I granted your wish. Carissa, I’m not going to play games with you. What’s done is done.”
“No Tyler, please don’t say that! I am so sorry, I apologize infinite times! Please Tyler, don’t say that! Please forgive me, I love you Tyler! I love you so much! Don’t do this to me!”
He flinched, his eyes lathered with tears. “I loved you too, but that quickly changed after what you recited a couple of minutes ago.” He said slowly.
He was pronouncing every single word so carefully, like he was presenting a speech in front of the president of the United States.
“Loved me? You loved me? You don’t love me anymore?”
His expression was blank, and he didn’t say a word. He didn’t move an inch, he didn’t flinch, he didn’t move.
He was like a statue, a beautiful, God statue.
“I can’t answer that, Carissa.”
My expression brightened up, and I exclaimed, “So you do love me?” I asked anxiously.
“No, Carissa. I told you. I don’t love you anymore.” He glanced at the two flight tickets, and mumbled, “Well, looks like my flight is about to start boarding. I better go…”
My face was blank. “Are you going to be okay, Carissa?”
I didn’t move. I finally nodded, and he smiled. He stood up, and walked around the table to face me.
He bent down, and leaned his ice cold lips against my bare forehead, and walked away.
He vanished.
That was the end of it.
This is how I will remember the love of my life.
How will I get home? I don’t have money. I have to call my mom.
She’s the last person I want to talk to, but what choice do I have?
I walked out of the airport and slid my hand in my pocket. I got a grip on my phone, and pulled it out.
I dialed her number, and put the phone to my ear. After two rings, she answered. “Hello?” She said quickly.
“Mom, it’s me.” I said slowly, almost a whisper.
My mom quickly exclaimed, “Carissa! Oh thank God you’re okay! When the fuck are you coming home?” She asked.
“Mom, I don’t know. Tyler, we, we broke up. He had two tickets, but he’s mad at me that he wouldn’t give me the other one. Mom I need money.”
“Car, Carry, I can’t fly to Transylvania just to give you money… the baby, and-,”
I interrupted her, “Of course, it’s all about the fucking baby! What about me mom?! Sometimes I wish that baby would just die inside of you!” I admitted… silence.
“I, I don’t know what to say.” My mom said with anger.
“Then don’t say anything. Do you want me to get home?” I asked, pissed off.
“Yes I want you to get home, but I don’t know how it’s going to work. Do you have any credit card on you?”
I rolled my eyes, and spat, “If I did, I wouldn’t be calling.”
There was silence for about a minute, and then she agreed, “True. Well, I guess you’re just going to have to find some way, to make some money. I’m sorry. I love you. I got to go to the doctors, for a checkup for the-,”
I cut her off, “Save it. Go, I’ll be fine. I love you, goodnight. I miss you. I’ll see you soon. Bye, mom.”
I heard crying come from the other end, as my mom choked out, “Bye sweet heart.”
Click.
Violet’s P.O.V:
My baby was all alone in Transylvania, and she wished her soon to be brother or sister died.
She wishes that I have a miscarriage. Tears fell from my eyes, as I grabbed the car keys.
Stupid baby.
Tyler’s P.O.V:
I boarded the flight; Carissa’s every move was overflowing my head.
I’m starting to feel bad for her. I don’t know why I was being such a bitch… but it was her words.
Not mine.
