Chapter 43

The Killing

“Nathan, get out of here! Why can’t you just leave me alone?! I’m Tyler’s!” I growled.

“No, you’re not! You are mine Carissa Poll!” He shouted.

Mitchel growled, and spat, “She’s no ones.”

Nathan glanced at Mitchel, and showed his teeth. “Mitchel, don’t come into this. I’ll kill you in one bite,” Nathan threatened.

“She has a right to choose who she wants to be with!” Mitchel yelled back.

“So be it. Carissa honey, who would you rather be with, me or Tyler?”

Mitchel hissed, “Or me,” He said while giving Nathan a death stare.

“Or him…” Nathan gulped.

Mitchel held my hand, and I yanked it out of his grip. “I’m nobodies! Listen, Mitchel, you’re a really good friend, and I love you like a brother, well, not really a brother… more like a boyfriend, but I don’t choose you.”

Nathan’s face brightened up. “And Nathan, I wouldn’t choose you OVER MY DEAD BODY!” I yelled, than showed a small smile.

“I choose Tyler.” I finally said with a grim smirk.

Nathan let out a loud groan/moan, and grabbed me by the shoulders.

“No! I will mark you, and turn you into a vampire, so you will be mine!” he roared.

Mitchel yelped, and leaped for him. Mitchel turned full vampire, and his fangs shot out, “Leave Carissa alone!”

He shouted while he plunged his fangs into Nathan neck. He drained Nathan’s blood slowly; Nathan dying a slow, painful death.

The last thing Nathan choked out before he died was, “Carissa, I, I love, I love you,” And then he didn’t move.

He was dead.

Mitchel got up, and turned into his human form. I squealed and leaped onto Mitchel. I hugged him tight, and whispered in his ear, “Thank you!”

We released the hug, and trembled, “Carissa, leave. You got to get out of here. They’ll take blood samples and finger prints off of Nathan’s body, and track me down."

He continued, "You got to leave. They’ll arrest me, or even kill me if they find out I’m a vampire. Leave, now.” He demanded.

“No, Mitchel, you can’t do this to me. Where will I stay the next couple of days?” I asked, tears running down my cheeks.

He opened up my palm, and laid $400. He curled my hand up into a fist, and kissed my hand.

“Go, now!” he yelled. I sniffled, and choked, while turning around, “I love you!” and then, he was off.

I ran away into the woods, until I found and exit. I got out of the humongous forest, and stood there, thinking for a second.

Nathan’s dead, which is good. Mitchel’s gone, possibly forever… bad. My family and boyfriend don’t know that I’m here in Transylvania all alone… bad. They think I’m with Mitchel… bad.
