Chapter 29

Transylvania

My eyes were glued to the ceiling the whole night. I glanced at the clock… 6:23 am. I shot out of bed, and walked over to the kitchen.

I poured myself a glass of water, and gulped it down. Water was the only other thing that I ate/drank besides blood.

I put the glass in the sink, and washed the remaining dishes. I through my old clothes from yesterday in my hamper, and grabbed a new pair of blue jeans, and a black V-neck.

I put on my old silver chain, and put an extra pair of clothes in a grocery bag just in case. I put it beside the door, and I checked the time.

7:02 am.

I grabbed my phone and pressed number 1, which was taxi.

I put the phone up to my ear and a guy answered, “Hello, welcome to taxi services, what is your address?”

I muttered, “787 Courtney cress.” He replied, “Okay, I will be there as soon as I can.” I mumbled, “Bye,” and hung up.

I grabbed my keys and my bag, and locked the door. I sat on the bench in front of my house, when a very pretty girl walked by.

She looked at me, and stopped walking. I smiled, and she smiled back.

She said seductively, “Hey there pretty boy.” I bit my lip, and muttered, “Hey there, sorry I have a girlfriend.”

She looked around me and replied, annoyed, “I don’t see any girlfriend.”

I scowled and barked, “She’s at home.” I lied. She nodded her head and rolled her eyes. She mumbled, “Lucky bitch,” and kept on walking.

After a couple of minutes the taxi pulled up in front of my house. I got up, and picked up my bag.

I walked over to the taxi, and got in the front seat. He asked, “Where to?”

I told him, “To the main Phoenix airport.” He nodded, and started to drive.

The whole car ride was silent, and when he pulled up in front of the airport, I gave him $50, and muttered, “Keep the change.”

He nodded and thanked me, and I opened the door. I got out, and he drove off.

I gripped onto my little grocery bag tightly, and bit my lip, looking at the signs, trying to remember which gate to go to.

People will probably think I’m stupid, traveling with just one little grocery bag that’s half full, but I don’t care.

I’m doing this for Carissa. Gate 3! That’s right! I ran up to gate 3 and entered.

I looked at my phone; it was 7:59 am. I have 2 hours before the plane leaves… I have plenty of time.

I sat down at a lounge booth, when a beautiful waitress came up to me, holding a tray with water, black coffee, and tea.

She asked, “Would you like a drink sir?” I replied, “No thank you.”

She smiled, and sat down in front of me.

I felt kind of uncomfortable… first of all she is supposed to be working, not flirting with me… but she was gorgeous, so I didn’t mind.

She asked, “Are you sure? You look a little… pale.” Well no fucking duh I look pale, I’m a vampire!
