As the day rolled on I became more and more excited for tomorrow, I was practically bursting to tell everyone.

I hadn't told Beth yet, but when I did she would probably freak and make a big deal out of it. Beth knows I'm socially awkward so any boy talking to me is a big deal.

I had seen Josh here and there but hadn't really paid attention, I was still on cloud nine and I wasn't ready to come down yet.

When school was done I drove home as fast as I could to prepare my outfit for tomorrow. I wanted everything to be perfect.

When I walked in the door I was greeted by my mother who was looking very worried.

"Hey mom" I said trying to brush past her.

"Hold on little missy" she said, lightly grabbing my arm and pulling me back to her.

"What's up?"

"Well..." she started "I was just wondering why your running clothes are all dirty and scuffed up."

"Oh." What could I think of off the top of my head? Oh duh.

"I tripped over a log in the woods" I said trying to look as casual as possible.

"Honey, are you ok!?" she said pulling me in for a big hug. Both of my parents were super protective because I was an only child, so anything that happened to me was a big deal.

"Yeah mom it's fine just a couple of scratches" I protested, pushing myself away from her. "Now if you don't mind I would like to go to my room."

I never lied to my parents, it just didn't feel right.

"Of course sweetheart" my mom brightened up instantly.

"Thank you."

I walked up the stairs as subtly as possible and closed the door to my room.

Now, what to wear? I turned to my closet and began shuffling through my clothes.

I finally had my outfit picked out and I was super excited. Lululemon leggings to show off my toned butt and thighs, and a semi tight Tshirt that stopped at my hips. I laid it on the bed and grabbed my gym bag.

I know it was only the second day I had talked to Brady, but I could already feel myself beginning to like him more and more. He just seemed like an overall genuine person.

I checked my phone once more before throwing it into my bag.

"Mom I'm going to the gym!" I called out.

"Ok, be back by dinner!" she yelled from the kitchen.

My parents had been really supportive of me losing weight and helped in any way they could. They bought me all my workout clothes, a gym membership and my tennis shoes.

I really needed to get a job.

When I got to the gym it wasn't busy, I pulled into an empty spot and walked inside.

"Hi welcome to Lifetime, do you have a membership?" the lady at the front desk asked with a fake smile plastered on her face.

"Yeah I do" I said handing her my card.

"Thank you, have a great day!" She said still eyeing me as I walked away.

I hate people like that, they pretend to be happy.

I made my way to the locker room and changed into my workout clothes.

On my way up the stairs I saw Josh through the window looking over the gym.

My god, this boy is everywhere.

He and a couple friends were just shooting around, Josh was on the varsity team for school.

I stood there mesmerized by the way his muscles flexed when he shot the ball. His shirt fit great, all of his muscles were perfectly outlined by the fabric. He was hot...

Wait what was I thinking! He was a jerk, and I wanted nothing to do with him. I mean I was going on a date with Brady, I couldn't be thinking about Josh.

I proceeded to the workout area and spent a good two hours doing my normal routine.

When I was done I went downstairs and grabbed my bag. As I was leaving I looked back at the gym one more time, and there Josh was, staring right at me.

Oh great, now he knew that I went to this gym.

I ran a little bit to get to my car quicker, I looked back expecting him to have followed me. When I didn't see him I was a little surprised.

Good I didn't want him to follow me. I told him to stay away didn't I?

Oh,  but you wanted him to follow you. My inner voice said.

"No I didn't" I muttered gripping my steering wheel tightly.

My conscience was so annoying sometimes.

Later that night at dinner, my parents brought up college again.

"We really think you should go to the U." her father said with a proud look on his face.

Oh great here we go again. Both of my parents had gone to the University of Minnesota, and it was their dream for me to continue their legacy and become a golden gopher.

"Mom, dad, I don't know what college I want to go to ok? Can we just leave it alone and eat dinner as one happy family?" I said, annoyed.

"Ok" my dad grumbled "but I really want you to consider, you should be sending out applications soon."

I didn't respond as I got up and cleared the plates. Honestly I didn't want to go to college. I wanted to start my own fitness club right as high school ended, I was going to look for a job so I could start saving.

I stomped up to my room and got ready for bed.

Good night, sleep tight, have sweet dreams of Josh tonight.

Ugh.
