Brooklyn’s POV
I feel like I finally, for the first time in months, got a good sleep. Having Luke there helped I guess. After showering I pick out an outfit. I go with a red skater skirt, and a black t-shirt. I only have to knock on their door once before Luke opens it. “Ready?” I ask.
“All set!” The five of us pile into Ashton’s car and we drive into town. Being them, the guys want to get food first.
“So, how was your guy’s night?” Calum wiggles his eyebrows at me and Luke.
“We just slept you moron!” Luke wacks Calum on the back of the head.
“Sorry, just wondering!” we all start laughing.
“What are the two of you going to do when you leave?” Michael wonders. I had been trying not to think of that. I am only here for another month and half.
“Um see how it goes I guess. We haven’t really talked about it.” I answer. Luke won’t make eye contact with me, only staring down at his pizza.
“Well don’t let it go to waste. You two are perfect! It actually annoying.” Ash laughs. This seems to perk Luke back up a bit. We continue to talk at lunch about anything and everything. “Ok, we have to go into hot topic!” Ashton declares when we reach the shops. I really don’t want to go in and be bombarded with music references.
“Uh you guys go in. I’m gonna try and find a different store!” Luke gives me a knowing look.
“Want me to come with?” He offers.
“If you want!” He fits his fingers between mine as an answer.
“We’ll catch up with you guys in a bit!” We continue to down the street in comfortable silence.
“Are you ok?” I ask Luke.
“Yea. I just don’t like thinking about you leaving.”
“Me either. But we can make it. Right?” I want his reassurance. He was amazing last night and I want to hear it from his lips.
“Yea. I mean people do long distance all the time. Right?”
“All the time!” I agree. “I’ll miss you all the time thought.”
“And I’ll miss you like crazy too. But modern technology is amazing!” He reminds me of skype and texting. As much as I trust him and us, I’m skeptical. I didn’t notice we had stopped walking and were in front of a small tattoo parlor. Without warning, Luke pulls me into the shop.
“Luke, what are you doing?” He doesn’t respond to me, only directing his words to the guys behind the counter who is covered in tattoos and piercing. He looks scary, but something in his eyes makes him strangely calming.
“Hi I’d like to get a tattoo.” Luke states.
“Where and what of?” The man asks.
“The Statue of Liberty and on my forearm.”
“Alright, I don’t have any appointments right now so come on back.” I realize what Luke is doing. What he is proving.
“Luke, you don’t have to!”
“I want to, Brooks. Ok?” It is his body so I stay quiet until an idea pops into my head.
“I’d like to get one also. The Sydney opera house outline on my ribcage.” I declare.
“Ok. You can go with Alice,” he points me towards a women with purple hair. I take a deep breath and follow her behind a curtain.
Luke’s POV
The hum of the needle makes my heart race and palms sweat. But when I see the final product all my worry goes away.
“It’s perfect. Thank you.” I tell the tattoo guy.
“Get it for your girl?” He asks nodding his head towards the curtain Brooklyn is behind.
“Yea,” I smile to myself.
“She is pretty, and the tattoos for each other. Man, don’t let her go!”
“I’m trying not to!” I tell him and finish paying. A few minutes later Brooklyn comes out adjusting her shirt. We thank the man again and walk outside. “So do I get to see it?” I ask eagerly.
“Not until it’s healed!” She smiles.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.” I slide my arm around her should as we head to find the guys. We approach the shops a crowd of girls is outside waiting. We have been a band for a bit now, but I never get used to the fans support. “It’s Luke!” One of them says, running over to me and Brooklyn, who looks completely shocked. I smile at them and start to sign stuff and take a couple pictures. “Who is she?” A fan asks, a slight rude tone in her voice.
“This is my girlfriend, Brooklyn.” She gives a small smile and waves.
“Uh hi guys!” I finish taking pictures and the girls start to walk away. “Wow. Is he really with her? I don’t see why, she’s not even pretty!” A blonde tries to whisper to her friend, but I overhear. By the look on her face, so did Brooklyn.
So this is probs super short! Sorry! But yeah, idk i liked this part :) How do you think she'll take the hate? anyone like the tattoos? :) Lemme know in the comments and keep voting! Stay Epic! xo -Rachel
