Six months later he is back home in Australia. She is preparing for a big weekend and the rest of her life with someone else. A twist of fate brought them together and ripped them apart. The three others prepare for the long flight to join her celebration. He can’t bring himself to go.

The night before her big day when she is finally asleep, someone visits her again from her past.

Brooklyn’s POV

Everything is bright. Again Gunnar? I think to myself. His soft chuckle comes from behind me. “Hello to you too,” he smiles.

“Hi,” my face breaks into a huge grin and my arms wrap around my older brother’s torso. Breaking apart I look at my surroundings. We are at a beach. “Why the hell are we at a beach?”

“Look around more,” he instructs. I swivel my head to the right and see the beach house I lived in one summer. To the left is the one Luke and the boys inhabited. This is the spot we met.

“Oh this beach.” I plonk back down in the sand with a huff. “Not that I don’t love when I get to see you again, but why did you bring me here?”

“To help you sort some things out. K-lyn, you’re not happy. Anyone can see that.”

            “I am, I’m getting married!” I protest.

“To Graham,” Gunnar says his name with disgust.

            “What’s wrong with Graham?”

“I don’t know. You tell me.” He turns the tables.

“I don’t think there is anything wrong with him,” I state clearly.

“Oh c’mon not even one blatantly obvious thing?”

            “Nope!”

“Not even that he isn’t Luke?” My heart drops at the mention of his name. Gunnar hit it right on the head. I’ve been trying to avoid that flaw. “C’mon K-lyn. I know you still love him. It was pretty obvious that night you were together!” I blush at my brother’s words and swat his arms.

            “God, Gunnar!”

“What I’m just saying I see everything.”

            “So what do I do?”

“Make the decision. Graham or Luke.” He laid back and put his hands behind his head I sighed and laid back in the sand wanting to enjoy this minute I have with my brother. “Time for you to go back, kiddo.” He says after a decent amount of time.

            “But I don’t want to,” I pout.

“But you have to. Trust me I love having you here just as much as you.” I hug my brother again, never wanting to let go.

“It’s good to know that you’re still watching over us.”

“Always.” I start to drift away but his voice pulls me back. “No matter what happens, you’ll be ok.”

I sit straight up in bed, smiling for a second that I got to see Gunnar again. He helped though. I know what I’m doing. I get up and change into a pair of black leggings, a glamour kills cut off reading sleep when I’m dead and my favorite pair of red vans. Grabbing my backpack I shove a few changes of clothes in and some other necessities. Making sure I have enough I grab my keys, wallet and phone and head out of the apartment. I have a stop to make before I do anything.
