“Hey guys, check this out!”

“Nah, that’s too formal.”

“The slit is…err… too long!”

“I don’t think black looks good.”

So you see, my friends are busy choosing dresses for prom, while here I am trying to stop myself from wetting my pants.

“You all right, Chloe?” Megan asked.

     Thank god! Somebody finally noticed.

“I just have to pee. I’ll be back right away,” I told them.

The comfort room was surprisingly silent. Since I was free to use any cubicle I want, I decided to use the third one. I rarely use it since it’s too far from the door—and… in case of ghost interaction, I might not be able to reach the door due to severe heart attack. Death, in short

Meanwhile, while I was busy unbuckling my belt, I heard someone enter. Wait, there were two of them. The fact that there were people coming inside was a relief since I’m no longer alone.

I could clearly guess that the first person who entered was wearing stilettos. The second footstep I heard was a bit heavier.

The thought of me wanting to pee was now gone as soon as I heard the front door being locked. Who the hell does that?

There was a moment of silence before I heard a guy clearing his throat. A guy!? Now, could somebody please tell me I’m in the right restroom?

“Did you do what I’ve told you to do?” the guy said.

I heard a loud sigh of a girl. A very familiar sarcastic sigh. “I’m doing it! Come on, ‘til when do you plan on letting me do this? I’m getting sick of fooling around!”

Uhh… is this some kind of argument I should hear?

The guy answered, “Until Chloe realizes that Drake’s not worth it.”

     WHAT-ON-EARTH-ARE-THEY-TALKING-ABOUT?!

“Ugh! I hate acting like a bitch all the time, while there you are acting so innocent and acting as if you don’t even care about their lives!” the girl complained, “for Pete’s sake, why do you even have to be my brother?!”

     Brother!? Tell me I’m wrong…

“Just do what I say, alright? Stop complaining.”

“Why’d you have to do this anyway? Can’t you just leave them alone? Heaven! You have your own life—“

“Don’t start this,” the guy warned.

“Just tell me what the hell your plan is!”

“I want you to shut up and do your work. Drake and Chloe should not be together,” he demanded.

WHAT THE HELL?! Somebody’s trying to screw me up! All along I thought it was entirely my fault, but truth is—somebody’s behind all this!

“You owe me for this, brother. You’re ruining other people’s life.”

“You’re too clueless with everything, little sister. Life works this way.”

       Jerk!

“Whatever. I’m leaving,” the girl told him.

I heard both of them leave and it was the only time I was able to breathe after a long period of time.
