“Kean. I’m so sorry. I really am. Please don’t be mad. Come on, Kean, talk to me.”
“Yoohoo, Kean. Stop ignoring me.”
“I’m sorry, alright?”
“Let’s talk, please?”
I’ve been talking to Kean over the phone for the past twenty minutes but he won’t even say a word. Kean always ignored me when he’s mad. But, come on. Everybody knows that I was drunk last night and I forgot to answer his calls. It’s not like I purposely ignored those stupid calls.
“Kean, please? I have to tell you something important, too.”
Still no answer.
Closing my eyes, I sighed. “Kean, Matt touched me last night.”
“What?!” he yelled.
Ha! It worked. Matt’s always a hot topic, ain’t he? “Could you come over to Drake’s? I really want to talk about it. Maki was asking me questions about last night and I don’t know how to explain things to her.”
“I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
“Alright,” I told him.
As soon as I finished talking to Kean, I approached Drake who was currently sitting on the couch watching his soccer game. Cool, Kean and Drake could get along so well. I mean, I hope so. But before I forget, I thought he was a volleyball player?
Sitting next to him, I glanced at him who didn’t even notice I slipped in. Since he was also ignoring my presence, I just stared at him. How the hell could a person with such a beautiful face not find his girlfriend? Sure, everybody knows Drake is the ‘one-night stand’ type of person. Sleep with a girl, and leave her the next day and act like nothing actually happened. Guys sure are the same.
Drake, how many girls did you sleep with?
“What?” Drake asked, snapping his head towards me.
Oh gosh, I didn’t say that out loud, did I? Drake gave me a death glare, which was enough to kill me already. I locked my gaze on the floorand pressed my lips together and didn’t say a word. Shit, why was I so stupid?
“Curiosity killed the cat, princess.”
“I—I wasn’t curious, you idiot. I was just wondering!” I reasoned out. Well, Chloe, you’ve just got the worst excuse ever! The Cosmopolitan probably killed my brain cells, eh? Funny how my smartass could go dumbass being with this guy, huh?
“What makes you think it makes any difference? Wondering is as good as being curious, princess. You suck at lying,” he smirked, as he continued watching the game. “And to answer your question, that’s for me to know and for you to find out.”
What the—? I’m gonna get you someday, Evans. You wait and see. “It’s none of my business anyway. You’re a walking STD.”
“I’m a walking what?!”
“That’s for you to figure out,” I mocked, sticking my tongue out to him. “You’re as dumb as I thought.”
“Careful with words, princess,” he smirked. “I was your knight in shining armor. You still owe me for saving you.” Blackmail!
My eyes widened in disbelief. “You moron, you can’t blackmail me with that forever!” Jeez, I could repay him in some other ways.
