Another day in Hell, I thought to myself as I made my way towards my locker.

The halls are too overcrowded today, probably spreading or hearing another stupid rumor.

A tap on my shoulder made me turn around quickly. Seeing my friends grinning at me early morning is a very bad way to start my day. No offense, really.

“Hey, Chloe,” Dona smiled. Megan said the same as she opened her locker.

“Well, we heard another rumor of you and Drake going home together yesterday. Was it the reason why you ditched us?” Maki asked, raising an eyebrow. Why would I ever ditch you?

Early morning and everything’s ruined. “No. I—I was…”

Dona shook her head, “And not only that. You weren’t in your classes the whole afternoon yesterday. Since when did you start skipping classes?”

I sighed in frustration. “I was with Kean yesterday and I tried settling things between the two of us. Unfortunately, it didn’t end up as planned. We had this little argument and so I wasn’t in the mood. That explains the whole reason why I was out yesterday. And as for the Drake thing, he just promised to take me home since I didn’t have my car with me.”

“Lucky lady, two guys after her,” Megan teased.

“Whatever,” I told them. Who the hell would feel lucky if the two guys that are after you hates you or the other way around?

As we headed towards our rooms, Maki said, “Hey, hey. I heard there’s a transfer student from—“

“You-don’t-know-where?” I cut her off, as a smirk escaped from my lips. It was exactly the same thing Drake told me yesterday.

“No, you idiot,” Maki continued, rolling her eyes at me. “I’m not quite sure though, but I heard he’s somewhere from L.A.”

    “Not far.”

“I know,” Maki smiled. “Let’s just see how this guy looks like. It’s been awhile since the school last had a hot dude. You know, since Chloe got the baits already.”

I got the baits? Did she just mean that—? “You idiot, Drake and I aren’t together. Besides, you know that I hate him. The same thing goes with me and Kean.”

“Whatever you say, Chloe, whatever you say,” said Maki, rolling her eyes. I heard Megan and Dona laugh behind me.

“Bye, guys! I’ll see you soon!” Dona told Megan and I, waving her hand as she pulled Maki with her. “Tell me if you meet the new guy!”

“Whatever!” I yelled back at her, sticking my tongue out. Looking at my left, I saw Megan smile. “So, I guess it’s just you and me for today.”

“I know,” she laughed. “By the way, I’ll be going ahead, is that alright? I have to go finish something for Geom. I’ll see you during the break.”

“Yeah, yeah, I don’t mind. See you,” I waved at her.

So I guess it’s just me after all. I sighed. Twisting the knob and opened the door.

Can’t wait to see a new friend.

“Chloe, hey!” someone yelled from behind me as soon as I stormed out of the room.

I turned to look at the person yelling. It was Kean, running towards me. “Hey,” I smiled at him as soon as he was beside me. Hope he’s not mad at me already. We just had another little fight yesterday. Well let’s just say recently.
