Whatever happened in his dream made him crazy. He murmured things all the time. He never acknowledged when anyone was talking to him. He had to be hand fed because if he wasn't he wouldn't eat. I was getting tried of it. Jason told me not to charmspeak him it might make him more unstable but I had to try. I need him to talk to me. To tell me what happened in his dream.
He sat in his usual spot in the big house. an old leather chair facing the window. He sat still hands still on the arm rests. That isn't him. he's trapped inside somewhere.
"Leo...look at me" I put so much charm speak in my words it made me dizzy. To my surprise his head turned dark circles under is eyes. "tell me what happened in your dream." I said my vision was going a little black. Wow. Did charmspeak take that much energy?
Leo got up. was he always that tall? He put his hands on her shoulder and pushed downward on a chair. "Piper you look like your going to faint." He grabbed a chair and sat in front of her "As for my dream I guess I can trust you." he grabbed my hand and told me the story no looking away from my eyes once. He said it with so much detail like it really happened. When he was finished I understood why he went quite.
"I had a life. A long one. When I woke up I had no idea what was going on. For a while I thought this was a dream. But it not. That life is gone. And I guess I have to except that and do it again."
"Leo there is no way I can relate to this. No way I can tell you something to make you fell better but I can tell you this, you're Leo Valdez super sized mc shizzel! Super bad boy extreme! if any can come out of something like that with a smile it's you, " I said. Leo looked at me and laughed. it was the first time I've heard him laugh in months between him in a coma and when he woke up he hasn't laughed.
"You think so beauty queen?"
"I know so." I said. hesitantly I hugged him I didn't squeeze because I thought I would break him.
"Hey Piper I have a question for you...Why did you shout my name to wake me up?" I let go of his embrace.
"You were on a life line. For a while you would mumble but then you stopped so they where going to...they..."
"They where going to 'unplug' me..." Leo said looking back at the window.
"Yeah...I just shouted your name and right as they unplugged it you woke up. We really didn't know that would happen..." Leo laughed a little.
"Well I think I need some air..." Leo said walking toward the door.
"Good luck being attached..."I said "if anyone see's you, you're going have to answer some serious questions." I looked back at my friend door half open.
"I'm okay with that." he said and walked out the door.
