Gladly Leo didn't get out the firecrackers. He didn't want it to turn out like last time...

"Wow." Liam said. "It's normal."

"Well yea. Leo Valdez doesn't make the same mistake twice." Leo said, snapping and pointing at Liam, the tips of his fingers lit on fire for the cooler affect. Calypso rolled her eyes.

"Your such a child sometimes." Calypso said, she patted the seat next to her. "sit."

They all sat. Essie's almond shape eyes studied something behind him. Liam waved his hand in front of her. She bolted up and her back straightened. "what?"

"Nothing yet." Calypso said. "what were you looking at?"

"That picture, I can't see it from here though." Leo turned, he saw the picture of the seven taken at little after Leo woke up. The Argo II and Festus in the background. Leo barley managed to smile. He remembered that day, it wasn't to long before him and Jason left on their mini quest. Leo picked it up and handed it to Essie.

"Whoa." Liam said. "Is that you when you were our age?"

"Yes."

"Where's mom?" Essie asked.

"That's...before we met." Leo lied he felt bad about it but he didn't know if he was ready to tell them 'your mother used to be a goddess trap on an island'.

"What's that ship?" Liam asked pointed at it in the background.

"That's your fathers ship." Calypso said. "the Argo II."

"You built that?" Essie asked eyes full of amazement.

"Well people helped me, but yes I mostly did." Leo said.

"Why do you look so sad?" Liam asked after a long silence. His words hung in the air. Leo looked at Calypso, she nodded.

"They're old enough Leo." She said. Leo bit his lip.

"Alright." Leo said. Essie set down the picture. "have you two heard of the prophecy of the seven?"

"Well, our teacher said we are going to learn about it but not yet." Liam said.

"Well let me tell you, Bobby and Zoe aren't the only one with a father who saved the world."

"What."

"How many people are in that picture? That's what your father means." Calypso corrected.

Liam counted. "seven. So you mean that..."

"I was part of the great seven." He told him about his mom which they have never learned about before. Then about meeting Jason and Piper and there first quest, and how he blew up New Rome and other adventures.

"So then Khoine blasted me into the sky and Piper defeated her single handedly, so I've been told."

"What happened to you?" Essie asked. Leo bit his lip.

"The truth is, in that picture it was after I met your mom, way after, before we could be together though. What happened to me was I met your mom." Essie looked confused, but Liam's face was unreadable.

"You two are demigods." Calypso blurted. "My demigods."

"You mean you're a-"

"Used to be." Leo helped. "When we got married she have up immortally. What's your mothers name?"

"Aw that's sweet. If she gave up immortality then how are we demigods? And Callie right?" Essie said. Luckily Essie was good at keeping up with Leo.

"No, full name, and we married after you were born."

"Uh...it was weird wasn't it?" Liam said finally catching up. Leo pulled a text book of Greek myths out of his bag, skimming the contents. He flipped to her page and pointed to the title.

"Calypso. So you crash on her island and she feel in love with you, then you had to leave to go save the world! So romantic!" Essie said.

"Not exactly." Calypso said. "I actually hated your father when I first saw him."

"I have no idea why." Leo defended.

"You destroyed my dining table!"

"Well anyway." He told them the rest of the story. Leaving, finding Annabeth and Percy, the war, even his coma which Essie thought was 'cute'.

"Then I woke up and..." He paused. "well I went a little crazy." he looped his fingers by his head. Essie and Liam laughed.

"So did you rescue mom?" Liam asked.

"Yes, on accident really. I guess I never really got my wish from the gods so they repaid me." He continued the story until they were born.

"So we are demigods?" Essie said.

"Yes that's why your father and I got you these. Now you can't take then outside because this place is the only place that is aloud weapons in the town." Calypso said, handing them the gifts. "Once you decide we can take them out." They opened them, Essie was a sword, engraved with small symbols. Liam's was a knife, mixed of all Leo's favorite metals, gold, iron, celestial bronze, and imperial gold.

"Wow." Essie said.

"If you want, we can send you to camp half-blood. If not that's fine, but it's an option." Liam grabbed a piece of cake and started eating it.

"It's not hard...of course we want to go!" Essie said. "It would be so fun!"

"Speak for yourself, Essie." Calypso said. "Liam what do you think?" Liam finished off his cake.

"I need to think. Can I take a walk?" He asked Leo stood and ruffled his hair.

"Sure. Take your time." Leo told him. He smiled and hugged him.

"Thanks for the gift." Liam told him and pulled away. Goodbye. He signed, and walked out the door.
