"This sucks" Essie said to her self while sitting in the waiting room of the underworld. Apparently she was being saved for something else. Of course she couldn't die a hero NO! Sure she didn't want to die, she would love to see her family again, but dying a hero would make her family proud.
"UGH!" Essie screamed sanding up and kicking the wall, her foot went through and she feel.
"Probably don't want to do that." said a voice behind her. It sounded pretty familiar..."You're not soiled at the moment." A man walked up to her, he had dark hair that feel over his eyebrows. His skin was pale but had a little color. His dark eye were kind, but still every instinct in her body said run! Alas she couldn't, her foot was stuck in a wall.
"Who-?"
"We've met..." He said helping her up, like it didn't matter that she was dead. Essie huffed and sat down in her chair. "You're a lot like your father..." He said sitting down next to her. Up closer he seemed REALLY familiar, like an old photo...
"You knew my dad?" She said. He nodded.
"You probably don't remember me..." He said, he stuck out his hand "I'm Nico. Son of Hades."
Essie shook his hand, "Essie, daughter of Calypso, though you probably knew that." His hands were cold and sent goose bumps up her arm, she let go. He smiled "So...you know my dad?"
"Yes. We are pretty good friends, I visit time to time. I spend most of my time her though, helpng my dad." He said "My sister Hazel said she's done with the underworld for a while now...seventy years down her is a long time I don't blame her."
"I don't either, 5 minutes and I hate it..." Essie said, slumping in her chair. Nico sighed.
"It's been 5 days." He mumbled.
"WHAT?!" Essie shouted standing up. Nico pressed her back down.
"Calm down. It's going to be okay. They have been debating for a while, but I think Demeter is breaking them."
"Demeter? Why is she debating for me?"
"You kind of saved her..."
"I did?" Essie said, made sense that she had green eyes and wheat colored hair. Nico smiled and nodded. "Well let's hope she wins" Essie said staring at the door on the other end of the room.
"Let's hope."
