It takes a toll on you. He thought. Leo can't remember the last he slept. He spent his nights in the bunker. Calypso and Liam came. They slept, he tinkered and tinkered away. It's been two week. His beautiful little girl was snatched away just like that. Finally Leo was so sleep deprived he fell face forward right on top of what he was working on. His sleep was just darkness.
~
When he woke up he was walking. Why he had no idea. maybe he was sleep walking but he looked over and saw he was walking and holding Callie's hand.
"Whoa." Leo said.
"What?" Callie said squeezing his hand.
"Why am I walking."
"I don't know you woke me up."
"I was sleeping."
"Whoa." she said letting go of her tight grip "Are you sleeping now?"
"No. I'm pretty sure I'm awake." He said brushing down his jacket. "Uh we're was I taking you?"
"I don't know. You just kept saying the big flower."
"That make absolutely no sense." Leo said, cocking his eyebrows. He looked around they were standing about 10 meters from the middle of camp. He saw Liam talking to that kid. Michel wasn't it? It was all calm no commotion a little gray feeling. He stroked his thumb over Callie's knuckles and they both looked for big flower.
Nothing.
"It must of been some-" Callie started to say but the ground shook. They both looked at each other. Leo wanted to make a joke but the ground in the center spilt.
Guess what happened next?
A giant flower burst from the ground, not just any flower. A Moonlace.
Calypso and Leo burst into a run.
The petals slowly opened an a goddess, probably Demeter, appeared next to it.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Meet the new assistant of Lady Demeter, me. Esperanza Rosa Valdez."
Essie stood there. She looked like a goddess. Perfectly white dress. A flower crown sat perfectly on her head. Her dark brown eyes fell onto him and the rest of her family.
She slid of the flower and ran jumping onto him, hooking herself onto him like she would never let go. He squeezed her so hard he was afraid he would break her bones. he didn't hold back though. He felt the rest of their family, Liam and Calypso, wrap their arms around each other.
They broke apart and Leo looked at his beautiful daughter. Her skin was glowing. Her brown eyes looked sad but he smiled, he understood what she did.
Leo didn't know exactly where their life would go, but one thing he knew was they wouldn't leave each other until they really had to. Leo smiled down at his wife, kissed her forehead.
He found her again.
