I tell Alex the idea of the surprise party.
"But he doesn't like surprises." says Alex
"Yeah, but this will be different. We'll invite friends, and family, it'll be great."
"Okay I'll try to discuss it with Ms. Mahone and Dave, but I have to go, we're here at the Jimmy show. And Austin says he misses you."
"Well have fun, and I miss both of you. Can't wait to technically see you in one day." I say seeing it's already 12 A.M.
"Alright, bye."
"Bye Alex."
Hanging up the phone, I get up, change into my bed clothes, and hop into bed. Already knowing it's Monday, I know I'm not going to want to get up.
I wake up feeling the sad Monday blues and singing Naked Brother's Band I Don't Want To Go To School. I call Reba, who only lives a couple of blocks away and ask her to pick me up. I throw on a white V-neck, a pair of gray sweatpants, gray converse, and apply mascara, and eyeliner. Looking in the mirror, I decide to just put my hair into a sloppy bun also. Then the doorbell rings, it's Reba. Reba has been my best friend for six years, and now we still are close as ever, being juniors in high school.
"You ready?" Reba asks
"Yeah gurlie, did you pick up Sadie?"
"Yup she's already in the car. She's just texting Robert."
"Okay well let's go!"
I say bye to my mother who's still sleep and probably can't hear me and my dog Oszy and lock up.
"Helllloooo earth to Sadie?" I say entering the car
She ignores me, just smiling at her phone, so me and Reba just let her be.
"I can't wait for the boys to come back." Reba says
"Same. I even have an idea for Austin's birthday."
"Okay shoot." Reba says changing lanes.
"A surprise party." I say with jazz hands.
"I thought he didn't like surprises." Sadie says
"Oh look Sadie came back down to earth." joked Reba
"Yeah, yeah. But this will be different, it'll be fun."
"Okay, but I don't like discussing anything without the rest of our lunch table, so we'll discuss the rest of the plans at lunch." says Sadie
"Alright." says Reba
"Fine with me." I say
