"I've been keeping something from you and everyone else." Reba starts
"Okay? What is it?"
"I've been hanging out with this other guy. Michael. I've started hanging out with him and he likes me and I think I'm starting to like him."
"Okay and where does that leave you and Alex?"
"I don't know. He hasn't asked me out yet."
"And I'm the only one you've told?" I ask
"Yeah."
"Well. For right now you're just friends with Alex and this Michael guy right?"
"Yes, but what if one asks me to be more than friends?"
"Then you give them an honest answer. Who do you like more?"
"I'm honestly not sure."
"Just know that you really don't have to make a decision right now."
"I guess you're right."
"But be sure to think about who you like more so just in case the time comes you'll know." I suggest
"I'll try, but thank you Carter."
"No problem, I'll always be here for you."
I give Reba a hug and then we head out to Sadie's after leaving a note for my mother saying my whereabouts.
Reba drives while I lay down in the back seat trying to get as much shut eye I can get before getting to Sadie's. We are around the corner, when I realize I can turn my phone back on. My phone turns back on and I get a text from Sadie.
Sadie: Okay, but meet me in the back because my parents really don't want to be waken up
"Sadie says we need to meet her in her backyard."
"Okay." Reba replies
Reba parks the car in Sadie's driveway, and we walk around back searching for Sadie finding her sitting at a picnic table just waiting and kind of dozing off. We approve and she gives us a shy smile. But me and Reba know she isn't happy and that she'd probably would be rather sleeping, but we have to talk. About everything. I wish that stuff with Robert never happened. Then it hits me. The real reason I've been thinking about Robert so much. Where did he get the alchonol because we weren't serving any at the party.
