Everyone pulls over and gets out of their cars, including me. I can't even help my excitement. I run up to Austin and wrap my legs around his waist, while he wraps his around me whispering in my ear,
"I'm glad you've missed me." Austin smiles into my hair.
"I have been missing you. I've missed you a lot." I say not wanting to let go.
"Well you haven't you been wanting to talk to me over the phone." Austin says putting me down.
"Please don't do this here." I plead
I let go of Austin and hug Alex, Dave, and Mama Mahone. Everyone just decides it's the best time to get hugs around.
"What are you doing here so early? I thought you guys weren't coming till tomorrow?" Reba asks
Alex grabs her hand, and they enter twine fingers.
"We came early cause Austin was missing Carter." Alex confesses
Austin blushes and gives Alex a little playful kick.
"I mean he was missing Florida."
I chuckle.
"So where we're you guys headed?" Dave asks
"The mall." Zach answers
"But now that we're are all here we should go back to the house and just chill." Sadie suggests
"I'm sure Carter and Austin want to spend some time alone. So Austin can catch Carter up on everything." Mama Mahone winks
"Yeah, let's give them some time alone." Robert elbows Sadie.
"Oh okay. Then we'll see you guys later?" Austin says
Dave and Mama Mahone pile into the unfamiliar car they drove in. Zach, Robert, and Sadie in Zach's, and Alex and Reba into Reba's car and I enter Austin's. Austin starts the car and I immediately get a text. I jump.
"You okay there jumpy?"
I smile, "Yeah, just got a text that's all."
"From who?"
I check to see it's Zach.
"It's Zach."
"So he's the reason you didn't want to talk to me?"
"Austin why do you keep insisting to bring that up?" I ask
"Because you never told me why."
Zach: I'll get Jocelyn n we'll start settin up. have fun w/ ur "distraction"
"I can't tell you why." I say remembering the party.
"So now we're keeping secrets?" Austin says taking his eyes off the road to glance at me, then return his vision to the road.
