Chapter Thirty Two

"Please just listen to it. I'll sing it here in front of everyone in the store, just please listen."

I look around again at the audience me and Austin have gathered, at a the faces. All the hopeful faces that want me to give him a chance. The faces that look excited to hear the song, and also the disgusted faces. The faces that don't care about the situation and the are probably wondering when it's about to be over. But I try to forget about everyone and look at Austin.

"Okay. Fine. I'll listen to the song, but since we already have an audience you have to play it here."

Austin eyes locked on mine smiles, "That's okay with me."

*Don't the water grow the trees...you're my angel come and save me.*

Wasn't expecting that. My eyes are on Austin and I'm just staring and I'm sure my face is not attractive. Not on bit, because I feel my eyebrows arched. The noise coming the audience startles me. They're clapping. All of them are clapping, including the ones who even looked disgusted. I can't help the smile that creeps on my lips and Austin returns one.

"So what do you think?" Austin says, stepping closer towards me until we are about three feet apart.

"I like it, and the audience apparently does to."

"Liked?" Austin says confused

"I mean yeah. I'm still mad at you Austin. You can't come here with a song you wrote with my ex, which is weird by the way, and think everything is going to be okay."

"But...but. You know what? I cannot even complain because you listening to it was enough but I'm going to win you back into my life Carter because I need you rather you like it or not. I'm going to try everyday. I'll even cancel my tour."

"Austin stop. Don't say nor do that."

Austin grabs hold of my chin and comes closer to me allowing me to smell his sexy scent, "But you're worth it." Austin leaves a kiss on my lips and with a blink of an eye he's leaving and I'm not stopping him.
