Instead of going to my next class, I stop by everyone's classes and ask them to skip with me. Everyone agrees except Jocelyn since she really needed to get her grade up in English. I ask everyone where we should go while we're in the parking lot of the school.
"We could go to the mall?" Reba suggests
"Yeah, cause I forgot to get a prez for Austin." Zach says
"His birthday is literally tomorrow, and you haven't gotten Austin a gift yet?" I ask
"Obviously not, that's what I just said."
"Whatever. Who's riding with who?"
"We came in Zach's car, so I'll ride with him." Robert claims
"Okay, and all the girls will ride in Reba's car." Sadie says
"But, I wanted you to ride with us babe." says Robert looking into Sadie's eyes.
"We are only going to be twenty minutes apart Robert."
"Twenty minutes is a long time."
Sadie chuckles, "I'll see you at the mall.
Sadie, Reba, and I are all in the car with Sadie driving. Reba says she needed a power nap, and I said I was to hungry to drive, so Sadie agrees to drive.
"To hungry to drive still doesn't make any sense." Sadie claims
"Do you guys ever think Alex will ask me to be his girlfriend?" Reba interrupts
"Random much?" Sadie says
"Yeah, I thought you where taking a 'power nap'?" I ask
"I can't. All I can think about is Alex. We've been "friends" for a year now, but we've been flirting and going on dates for four months and he hasn't ask me to be his girlfriend."
"Calm down gurlie, he's going to ask you." I assure her.
There's an awkward silence, so I figure Reba has now fallen asleep. Then "MMM Yeah" by the one and only Austin himself comes on the radio featuring Pitbull.
"I ASKED HER NAME BUT SHE TURNED AWAY, AS SHE WALKED ALL THAT I COULD SAY WAS.." Reba blares out.
It's like everything leaves my mind. The surprise party, the tweets, the rude girls, the Jimmy show. Everything. I roll down my window allowing the wind to blow in my face, and just sing my heart.
"MMM yeah yeah!"
I can even feel the people in the car next to us looking, and laughing but I don't even care. I look over to see Dave. But not only Dave, but Mama Mahone to. Dave in the driver seat keeps sneaking in smiles and Mama Mahone is just laughing. I turn around finding a red range rover. Finding Austin in the driver seat, and Alex in the passanger.
I'm surrounded.
"Austin?" I say letting the words slip from my mouth.
"What?" Reba says lifting her head up
"Austin, Alex, Dave, and Mama Mahone are literally surrounding us right now."
