Chapter Twenty Seven

School the next day is fine. I told Austin, I would hang out with him as soon as school was out and he said that he should atleast give me a ride to school since us hanging out would be many hours away. He said tonight we would have our first date, and that we would do something special. It all sounded great in the car, but then when I got to school I was just so tired and to moody talk to anyone so I was quiet in all my classes. Luckily none of my teachers today called on me so it was a pretty calm day until lunch happen. Austin knows what time we all have lunch because he use to have the same lunch, so it was no surprise to me when I glance down at my phone to see him calling.

"Hey!" I said happy that he was calling.

"Hey." He said sadly.

"What's wrong?"

"I heard something from Zach today that I wanted to clear up with you."

"Okay and what is that?"

"You like me right?"

"I thought we already talked about the Austin, yes I like you."

"Then you won't lie to me right?"

"No, I wouldn't."

"Okay, well Zach heard from Jocelyn that you and Reba and Sadie were having a conversation last night."

"Yes we were."

"Then, did you say school was more important that me?"

"Yeah, I did. It's true Austin. I don't want to be stupid, I want an education.

"Okay, but you make it seem that school it better than I am."

"I never said that."

"Well that's what you make it seem like!"

I cough, and then it happens. I cough and I feel liquid drop, it's not pee. I get up and rush to the bathroom with Austin still on the phone.

"Hello?" Austin says

"I got to go." I respond

"So now you're making excuses?"

"Making excuses? Making excuses for what?"

"Do you, or do you not think school is better than me!"

"Austin I never said that! And maybe school is better than you, cause right now school isn't yelling at me like you are!"

I rushing down the hallway when I accidentally bump into this kid. He is six foot with dirty blonde hair like Justin Bieber's just blonde and light brown eyes that remind me of little puppies.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." the mystery guy says smiling and catching me.

"Who is that?!" Austin asks

I apologize to the mystery guy and hang up with Austin and enter the bathroom. I find a stall and I turn around with my back against it, and slide down, and cry.
