Georgia pulls into the street of the party house behind Ashton and Penelope can hardly keep herself seated; her legs are bouncing and her hands are fidgeting with everything on her body from bracelets to the material of her clothes to her fingernails. “He was looking at me the entire concert,” she gushes, her eyes lighting up. “I bet if maybe I can get a little bit of alcohol in that boy I’ll be kissing him by midnight.” Georgia can’t even imagine what would possess her friend to say that, but instead of questioning it, she parks the car and gets out.

Ashton and Luke get out of his car and behind her, Calum and Michael climb out of another vehicle, Liza the furthest back. They all congregate and come together at the front door and Ashton just pushes it open, holding Aliza’s hand as he drags her in. The music is playing loudly and surprisingly there isn’t a disgusting stench of illegal anything or alcohol. The only thing is that there are tons of people crowding the small house and they’re not keeping themselves quiet.

“I’m going to get a water,” Georgia says, turning to talk to Penelope, but Luke catches the comment. “Let me go with you,” he interjects, stepping forward. She shakes her head, “Luke, I’m a big girl and I’m pretty sure I can pick up a bottle of water by myself.” He puffs a breath out through his nose and rolls his eyes before turning around and talking to someone who called his name.

Georgia walks up to the table and she sees that there is one small cooler of beer sitting by the table, but it doesn’t really look enticing, so she keeps to her original plan and grabs a water bottle. She pops the cap and leans against the counter as she sips slowly.

From somewhere around the corner in the next room she hears her name being called by a voice that sounds somewhat familiar. “Georgia!” the voice calls one last time. When he comes around the corner, her eyes light up. “Jake!” she exclaims, reaching forward and throws her arms around his neck. “What are you doing here?” Georgia asks, her eyes slightly wide as she smiles up at him. He grins, “I’m friends with Steven’s older brother, Ronnie. Well, he’s kind of actually in my band. Do you remember Matthew?” Georgia nods, faintly remembering the boy he’s talking about.

They slip into conversation and then Georgia feels another presence behind her and so she turns. “Oh, hey Luke,” she says shyly, biting her lip. She takes in his appearance – obviously he changed. He’s now clad in a singlet and a plaid flannel covering it instead of his sweaty shirt from earlier. “I would ask who this is,” Jake says in a teasing tone, one of his arms over Georgia’s shoulders, “but I think we’ve already met.” At the glaring from Luke, Jake removes his arm and lets it hang by his side, feeling somewhat intimidated.

“Luke,” the blonde says, jutting out his hand, “and you are?”

“Jake, nice to meet you.”

They shake hands and the awkwardness in the room is almost able to be felt. “Nice to meet you too,” Luke says, his body relaxing slightly. For a few moments no one speaks, but Georgia is stood between the boys and she is watching as they eye each other up, and Luke even goes so far as to clench his fists by his sides, making his biceps and forearms flex. If I wasn’t so angry with him, I would think that was attractive, Georgia thinks to herself. "I’m going to…" Jake trails, looking from Luke to Georgia and back again. "I’m going to just…" He points awkwardly back out to the main room and Georgia merely nods in understanding. Jake leans forward and hugs her quickly, not wanting to upset Luke any more. "Bye Jake," Georgia says while smiling. He waves one last time before walking into the living room and joining a group of older guys.
