Georgia sits down in front of the final box of Christmas ornaments, wishing the house weren’t so empty while she’s decorating. “Dad and James should be helping,” she mumbles to herself as she brushes back a stray strand of hair from her face. “I shouldn’t be doing this all alone.”
She brings a few sentimental ornaments out and hangs them in various places on the tree, thankful that she didn’t have to set up the actual tree itself. Biting her lip, she recalls the memory quite well.
“No!” she giggles. “It’s crooked! Luke!”
He huffs and blows out a breath so his cheeks are hollowed, his prominent cheekbones showing through his pale skin. “Fine,” he grumbles, leaning down and shaking the tree a bit on the hook so it’ll shift. Georgia claps her hands, “That’s perfect! Way to go.” He brushes his hands off on his pants and his cheeks are a slight shade of red from the exertion (or the blushing, we may never know) as he stands. “Thanks,” he grins, leaning down so his face is directly in front of hers. Georgia presses her hands to his shoulder turned towards her, “Luke, what’re you doing?”
As if it should be obvious, he rolls his eyes and taps his cheek with his index finger, “I deserve a little reward, hmm? I mean, I did perfectly put up your Christmas tree.” She chuckles sarcastically and reaches forward to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth, the lip piercing brushing her cheek as she pulls away.
“I’m still not used to that thing,” she speaks as she brings herself back, brushing her thumb over the loop wrapped round his lower lip. He pouts, making it stick out slightly, and she giggles in response, drawing her hand back so she doesn’t get any of his spit on herself. “I’m not either,” he admits, flicking his tongue out to run over it, “and it’s been there for a few weeks.” She nods, marveling at it with her eyes, focused in on it.
“I just never really saw you as someone with a lip ring, to be honest,” Georgia tells him as she brushes her thumb just under his full lip and then down his jaw, her eyes skimming over his skin. She notes the stubble growing on his jaw and neck and her hand reaches underneath to scratch his skin, laughing a little when she feels the prickly flesh. “Are you fascinated?” he asks her, looking down with his baby blue eyes. Georgia nods, not looking away from the underside of his jaw. “Mhmm.”
Luke chuckles and tickles her under her chin, making her squirm and turn her head to the side. “Don’t do that!” she laughs, her eyes crinkling. Luke can’t help himself when he wraps his arms around her back and pulls her tightly to his chest. “Why not?” he asks in a mocking tone as he looks down at her, the skin of his neck wrinkling. “Because it tickles, duh,” she rolls her eyes, flicking his ear. He winces, “What was that for!?”
“Tickling me, dork!” Georgia exclaims as she raises her eyebrows. Luke looks down at her flatly, his lips curling downward as a faint dimple traces the inside of his right cheek. “Oh, I didn’t know that was an action punishable by ear flicking!” he teases her, poking her sides and making her wriggle around in his hold. Georgia shoves her palms against his chest but it’s no use, he’s too strong and his feet are firmly planted in the carpet.
After her stops, he looks down at her in admiration and says softly, “Merry-almost-Christmas.” Georgia smiles and nods her head before leaning up to press her lips to his one chaste time, “Merry-almost-Christmas.”
