“I’ll see you later, cutie,” Liza says with a wink as Georgia begins to fold up her apron. She rolls her eyes, “I’ll text you.” The blonde giggles and nods her head, watching as another customer steps up to the counter.

I’m here :-) x

Georgia smiles as she slides her phone back in her pocket and slips her purse over her shoulder. She expects for Luke to park outside and wait for her to exit the building, but she’s surprised when his tall frame enters through the front door. “Hey baby,” he says in a greeting, deftly grabbing her hand from beside her hip and pulling her under his arm in a swift motion. He nods to Liza, “Hey!” She waves back shyly and finishes attending to the customer at the counter.

“You ready to go?” Luke asks, looking down at Georgia as she tries to wrap her head around his speedy entry. “Y-Yeah,” she stumbles over her words. Luke sends one final smile Aliza’s way as he guides Georgia out the front double doors and towards his Jeep.

Luke releases Georgia’s hand as he closes her door behind her and she belts in. “Do you have any homework?” Luke asks as he pulls out of the parking slot, not missing a beat. Georgia shakes her head, “No, I don’t.” Luke merely nods and turns up the radio, tapping his fingertips on the steering wheel’s leather cover as he drives down various roads which Georgia vaguely remembers lead to his house. “Are we going to your place?” Georgia asks, pulling her right leg underneath her bum, sitting up higher in the plush passenger seat.

“If that’s all right with you,” Luke answers, sending her a sideways glance tainted with uncertainty. Georgia shrugs, but on the inside she’s buzzing with the knowledge of how Luke’s lips will feel against hers and the soft yet rough touch of his fingertips on her skin. With a smile, Luke pulls into his driveway and helps Georgia out of the car.

As he bites his lip, Luke grins, a boyish glint in his eyes. “You know what I want to do?” Luke asks, his tongue flicking out and running over his lower lip, lingering on the corner. “What?” Georgia responds in anticipation, her stomach beginning to feel like the acid is eating away at her insides. Her voice is breathless and it excites Luke to almost a bitter way, his mouth tasting acrid without her chapstick to fill the void.

“I want to,” he drags out each and every word, slowly inching closer towards her face, his nose brushing hers as he speaks the last syllable. His lips press to hers softly, enveloping them in a velveteen warmth, his palm reaching up to press to her cheek. Luke pulls away with a sigh to finish his sentence, “kiss you until I can’t breathe.”

Needless to say, Georgia’s cheeks turn a bright shade of red, sending warmth from the base of her neck to the tips of her cheeks. Luke chuckles and presses another kiss to her mouth, soft and slow and innocent this time, his eyes still open so he can watch as hers flutter closed. His mouth curves up into a smile as he continues to kiss her, the warmth of her lips heating his into an ache he’s afraid may melt his brain.

“Lu- Oh!”

Pulling back quickly, Georgia’s eyes are wide and her hands stay clutched to Luke’s shirt as the short blonde woman she’s come to know as Liz Hemmings stands in the doorway. “Hey sweetie,” she says, recognizing Georgia’s presence and thankfully choosing to ignore what was just occurring. “Hi,” Georgia nods. Liz smiles knowingly and turns to her son, “Luke, I need you to help me with the house today, okay?” He groans and begins to protest, making Georgia giggle behind her hand, and then Liz holds up her palm. “No complaining. You’ve got band practice and soccer for the rest of the week, young man. Come on now.” She looks back at Georgia one last time, “I’m sorry for this, Georgia, I know you two were in the middle of something…important.”
