When Roan awoke it was about half eleven the next morning. She sat up and stretched. It was a Monday morning and for once it didn't feel like a bad one. She sat up for a minute and looked at her bandaged hand. She unravelled it and looked at her palm. All that was left was a very faint scar and she felt no pain at all! She jumped out of bed and rushed to the tall mirror standing next to the wardrobe. She looked at the cut along her eyebrow and again it was only a faint scratch, she hardly even saw it! She used this time to go and have a shower and refresh. She took off her pyjamas and pulled on some jeans and a black top. Over the top she put on a jumper. She would get away with it. She grabbed the towel Liam had left for her and she went to the bathroom. She locked the door and stared. She had already seen it, but it still took her by surprise. Three walls were white and one was a light blue and it was big. There was a deep bath and a shower which felt as if you were standing under a waterfall. She started up the shower and watched the hot water bounce off the bottom. She quickly undressed and stepped in. She washed her hair thoroughly and scrubbed her body. When she got out, her skin could breathe and she felt fresh again. She applied make-up and took everything back to her room. She found a hair dryer in a drawer and turned it on. It wasn't particularly powerful, but it would do. She had short hair anyway! When she was done she tidied up a little and suddenly realised how hungry she was. By this time she had really missed breakfast and went downstairs. She went into the dining room expecting it to be empty, but Jake was still fast asleep on the sofa.
"He didn't move all night." Harold said from behind her, making her jump.
"Poor thing...is it his shoulder?" She asked. Harold nodded and he went over to his sleeping body. He moved the shirt collar and Roan looked at the wound. It was still really deep and he was burning up and getting a fever. Roan bent down to the water bowl Harold had left and dabbed Jake's head with it. He didn't stir.
"How is he Harold?" Liam asked suddenly appearing from nowhere. Roan turned her head quickly and then focused back on Jake.
"Not good." The butler replied. Liam sighed.
"I have to go back into school as I have work to do at school, but I need to be here and help. I can't do both!" Liam said.
"I'll look after Jake. It's the least I can do, I owe him after all." Roan offered.
"Are you sure Roan; that would really help! Sorry I have an art piece to finish off." He said.
"No you go, you don't have much time. I'll do it and leave Harold to making lunch." She said hopefully.
"It's on it's way." Harold winked. He then disappeared out of the door to tend to the food. She sat leaning against the sofa and let the cloth rest on his head.
"If you need medicines Harold will get them. He is very good with that sort of thing." Liam said. Roan nodded yawning.
"Don't tell me your tired!" He said, Roan shook her head and laughed.
"No, I only got up about half an hour ago." She bit her lip. Liam tutted at her and sat on the sofa opposite her just as Darren came in.
"Liam, after school it's your turn to do a bit of training." He said. Liam rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, I know!" He snapped.
"All right, I just don't want you getting into more bother. The government still aren't pleased that you haven't found the fourth yet." Darren said.
"I know!" Liam impatiently growled. Darren sighed and left. Roan just looked down as Liam rubbed his eyes. "I want this to stop!"
"I don't blame you." She said.
