Chapter 37
Two whole days Roan had spent in the Hunter's headquarters. She had been beaten up badly and she was in pain. Her cheeks were swollen and she had a bruise forming on the corner of her left eye. She had a knife cut above her right eyebrow and slash across her cheek. This had made her cry, but she wasn't as bad as the first day. She was used to it. The smacking didn't hurt, it was just the knife. She was sat in the room where they interrogated her. Robin came in and stood in front of her.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.
"Why didn't you stop her?"
"I'm asking the questions." He said.
"I'm not answering them. I've told this to Aimee. If you want anything just ask her as I clearly wont tell the truth as I am not to be trusted." She said.
"Look just let me..." He began.
"I do NOT want your help. Stay away from me and let Stella do the interrogating, because lets face it your too soft." She said turning her back. Robin moved away from her looking down. He left her alone and she turned on the waterworks and Stella came back in.
"Tell me and the pain will stop."
"No." she said through gritted teeth.
"Fine." Stella said getting out her knife. Roan tried to stay still as Stella came towards her with it. "I'm starting to lose my patience Roan and you know it. You've seen me angry, but you have seen me furious and right now Roan, your asking for trouble. Just tell me!" She screamed.
"Never!" Roan yelled back. Stella pressed the knife onto Roans throat and it dug in, blood trickled down her neck and she squealed in pain.
"I'll do it." She said.
"Go ahead, it will stop the pain." Roan said through short breaths. Stella though about this and let Roan go. Roan breathed as best as she could, hands still tied behind her back, she was gathered to her feet and pushed out of the room and back into her seal.
"This is getting worse." Alex said after they had all gone. Roan nodded and sat down. She wanted to curl up in a ball and just sleep.
"You're looking worse." Amanda said.
"Am I really?" Roan said sarcastically. "It hurts so much!" She screamed out. She then swore really loudly about the Hunters and Aimee looked through the window. Roan turned her back on her and Aimee looked away. She would have heard that and if she was bothered she would have come out to help.
They sat in silence until morning and that was when Will came in with information.
"Look I can get you out." He said to Roan. She turned and looked at him and in a hushed whisper he carried on. "It will only get you out."
"I'm not leaving without this lot." Roan hissed.
"I can't do that, just you." He said. "Let me just go through it and then you can decided. On your next interrogation with Stella you need to use the last of your strength to disappear. As soon as you are out of your seal, I will distract Stella. You wont have long and you will have to leave, but somehow you need to get the cuffs off, I will deal with that, but it's only you it will work with. I can't risk them all. If you can get them out, well that's up to you. Talk to everyone and I will be back in ten." He said. she nodded and he left her to tell the news.
"Ok everyone." She said ad all seven people turned and looked at her with wide eyes expecting news that they weren't sure would be bad or good. "Will got back to me and he said he can get me out...but not the rest of you. I don't want to leave without you guys as it wouldn't be fair..." She began.
