Chapter 36
Liam had got home with his brother and sister and they all sat wringing their hands.
"Why did you let her out of your sight? I thought she meant something to you! She could get herself killed!"
"It's not just her going missing that's the problem!" Liam snapped.
"What do you mean?" Hazel asked. Liam looked at his feet.
"Nothing." He said.
"Go on Liam you may as well tell them." Lewis said sitting down. "Roan isn't here, what's stopping you?"
Jake folded his arms and Hazel raised her eyebrows.
"I think Roan could possibly be the fourth member." He said. Jake and Hazel were silent for a minute and then they laughed. When the suddenly realised Liam still had a serious expression on his face they stopped.
"You can't be serious?" Hope asked.
"I think we would have felt it too." Jake said.
"Well don't you feel that there is something about her?" Liam asked.
"Maybe something, she is certainly special, but it may just be that your in love with her." Jake said. Liam glared at him.
"That's what attracted me to her village and she felt me come in. She's powerful!"
"But not right." Hazel said.
"Why because she isn't evil enough?" Lewis asked.
"No, but do you really think Roan is number four? Come on dad." Hazel said.
"No, but it's what Liam thinks."
"It needs to be what we all think and right now she could be anywhere." Jake said. Liam suddenly groaned and put his head in his hands.
"I've done something stupid." He said.
"Besides getting Roan's parents kidnapped and then losing her?" Hazel said.
"Shut up!" Liam snapped. "No, you know she kept sending me telepathic messages."
"Or who you thought was her."
"Yes. Well I blocked her out in case she sent me another and if I want to get rid of it, it takes a whole day! Anything could have happened by then!" He said.
"You idiot!" Jake shouted.
"Maybe she will contact one of us." Hazel said.
"What if she can't?" Liam asked.
"Then we will blame you for everything." Jake said leaving the room in a strop. Liam sighed and rubbed his eyes. Then he felt it. He felt something bounce off his brain and disappear. It was her and now she was going to think he was ignoring her and that he didn't care. Jake was right, he was an idiot.
Roan had been pounced on and put in hand cuffs. She struggled against them, but it was no use. As they moved her out of the room with all the other Breathing Spirits in, she tried to use telepathy. It took her a while to try and do it. She finally got her message sorted and she set herself up before trying to send it. When she thought it had gone, it bounced back, causing her head to pound and feel as if it would explode. She shrieked in pain and Stella realised what she was doing.
"Hurry up, put her in the power proof room!" She shouted. Robin and Oliver slung her in the room and Stella and Robin went in. Robin shut the door and guarded the outside. On Stella's orders, he locked them all inside. The room was simply lit by candles and it made Roan feel uneasy. She couldn't use her powers in here, she was human in this room. She had been tossed onto the floor and she managed to sit up and took her knees into her chest, hands still bound behind her back.
