Move In Day

Kenyanna's POV:

This was the day. The day when I'll officially be on my own, by myself. I was living on campus as of right now until I could afford my own apartment. That was fine with me because it came with my scholarship. Dominic stayed on campus too😏 I'll be seeing a lot of him. I packed the last of my bags and bought them downstairs. Ethan and Odell were sitting in the living room eating

"Damn Ken. If you bring one more bag down here" Ethan said shaking his head

"Look I don't wanna make a trip down here just because I forgot something small. So yes I'm making sure I have everything" I said counting my bags

"Oh it's 15 bags if you're counting. I've been counting since you've started" Ethan got up and seemed aggravated

"And 2 of those bags consist of makeup" Odell mentioned

"Ain't that much makeup in the world" Ethan started to take my bags outside and into the U-HAUL.

"Well there is for me" I quickly smiled and went into my room again. Pops and Linda were both already at the school, waiting for us to come. So glad they would be the only 4 helping me move, cause the whole family just would've been too much

I observed my now empty room. My walls were clean and freshly painted. My floor was clean and freshly mopped. And my ceiling was stripped from all those glow in the dark stars I had on them. My bathroom was clear and clean and everything that came with it

"KEN! WE'RE READY TO GO! Odell screamed from downstairs. I turned my light off and left.

"Okay lets go. I'm ready" I sighed. Odell stared at me. "What?"

"Ken I know you're nervous. I was nervous on my move in day, but just remember you're still in Louisiana. Pops is just a couple hours away. And I'm a phone call away. I will fly from New York, or anywhere else at that matter, if you need me too." Odell hugged me. "I love you" I hugged him back

"I love you too O. Let's go before I be late for check in" he walked out the house and I walked out then locked the door. Ethan connected the U-HAUL to his all red Jeep Wrangler and called me

"Hello?"

"Put your phone on speaker and connect it to that hands free thing in your car. This is so we can still talk the whole way there since you're by yourself" he said and I did as he told me. I was riding by myself in my car. And he and Odell was riding in his truck with my stuff. We were in separate cars, but just to ensure safety we stayed on the phone.

"Anddddd done" I smiled then started charging my phone. "And charge your phone so it doesn't die" I said

"I already did. You pull out first so I can follow" I pulled out the yard and we were on our way.

"Alright. 4 hours and 47 more minutes to go" Ethan said over the phone. I took a deep breathe and kept driving.

Time to time Odell would start playing music loud and I knew he was dancing and putting it on Snapchat.

"SHUT THAT SHIT UP!" I said loudly, attracted. I was overly nervous the closer we got there and he wanna turn up.

"Y'all hear how she treat me? She so nervous" he said over the music. I knew he was putting this on Snapchat

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I said then hung up the phone. Fuck them. My phone started ringing so I answered it

"WHAT?" I yelled

"Really Ken?"'Ethan laughed. "We just wanna have fun man. This trip is long and boring"

"Well I'm sorry that y'all are bored but I am scared for my life. I'm nervous and y'all trying to turn up and shit" I rolled my eyes
