"Are you two ever gonna stop talking?" Frogpaw huffed, turning over to glare at his littermates, "I wanna get some sleep unlike you two apparently."
"Sorry Frogpaw" Wavepaw apologized, Minnowpaw nodded. "Wavepaw and I are just excited," she added cheerfully. Frogpaw's ears pricked as he sat up from his nest. "Why?" He asked curiously, now interested.
"Because," Wavepaw started, but Minnowpaw cut him off. "We overheard our mentors saying that we're getting our final assessments soon." Wavepaw glared at Minnowpaw, "I wanted to tell him," he pouted but Minnowpaw just laughed it off.
"That's great, do you think I'll get my final assessment too?" Frogpaw asked, "I don't see why not," Minnowpaw replied, Wavepaw shrugged and yawned.
"I'm gonna go out," Frogpaw decided standing up and stretching, "Why?" Minnowpaw inquired, "because I'm not gonna sleep with you two talking all night. So I may aswell go fishing or something." Frogpaw explained, "fair enough." Wavepaw replied." Frogpaw padded out of the den, "come back before dawn, we're not covering for you." Minnowpaw called from the entrance of the apprentices den, Frogpaw nodded before leaving the camp, saying hello to Windtail who was on watch on his way out.
Frogpaw decided to go into the small grove of trees behind OceanClan's camp. They were the only trees on their territory, and in the middle of them was Prime Tree, one of the biggest trees in the forest.
Frogpaw yawned, padding up to Prime Tree, a nap wouldn't be too bad, I'll get up before dawn. Frogpaw decided, curling up in the roots of the tree. He started drifting to sleep, until a twig snapped making him jolt awake.
Frogpaw looked around, but it was too dark to tell where it came from. Anxious, Frogpaw got up and growled, hoping that whatever was there was gone by now.
"Well aren't you tough" a strange voice teased from somewhere in the shadows. "Who's there?" Frogpaw hissed, backing up so his pelt brushed against the bark of Prime Tree.
"Who are you?" The voice asked, "Who are you," Frogpaw said back, his eyes slits. "Fair enough," the voice replied casually, coming out of the shadows, "The name's Badger," Badger was a white cat with black spots, Frogpaw relaxed a little when he realized that Badger wasn't full grown, he even seemed a little smaller then Frogpaw.
"Now who are you?" Badger asked, sitting down. Frogpaw padded closer to him, "I'm Frogpaw," he meowed, Badger's ears pricked. "So you're a clan cat," Badger acknowledged. Frogpaw nodded, "what about you?" He asked, Badger hesitated, "I live outside the border, GhostClan." Frogpaw tilted his head, "you sure know a lot about Clan life." Badger froze up for a few heartbeats, "uh, yeah.. I should be going now that I think about it." Badger said quickly, before Frogpaw was able to reply Badger padded into the darkness.
