Phoenixheart's POV
It was the night after me and Frogpaw returned and we explained to everyone why we left. Most of them weren't mad I felt bad because his littermates became warriors without him. I feel even more sorry cause he has to sleep alone now. We also herd about Shellkit the poor thing may she have a nice life in Starclan it just isn't fair when poor innocent cats don't even get a chance at life. I was so busy thinking I didn't notice Salmoneclaw looking at me with a worried exprecion."Promise you won't leave again" Salmonclaw asked me looking at me with pleading eyes which surprised me why did he care? "I won't" I promised him and laid down in my moss nest for the first time in moons it barely even had my scent in it anymore I thought that I wouldn't fall asleep for awhile but pretty soon I drifted to sleep.
I knew where I was but I wanted to deny it I've been here before in this dark dense forest and I knew who I was going to meet again the one who keeps whispering to me. To be honest I didn't expect to find it that fast but once again I was wrong. I found a small clearing there was no grass, no flowers, no sun...nothing just a dark dense clearing I sat there for awhile waiting for it to find me, soon enough to. "Expecting me" it said walking towards me its dark black fur and white chest its red eyes blazing. I stayed quiet looking down at my paws I hated it more than a dog if it killed my entire clan. Even if we were kin. "What's wrong no hugs for your brother?" It asked me pretending to care. "What do you want Owlsight!" I shouted suddenly turning to face him sure he was smaller than me but I knew how powerful he was he starred at me with blank eyes. "Fine" he said in a stern voice "I wanted to ask you once more if-" I stopped him in the middle of his sentence "No!" I shouted getting even more angry at my bro- no at him. "I will never join you! Not as long as I have something to live for I'll never join Darkclan!" "Why you little..." He growled at me making me step back something told me that I just made a mistake. "I gave you time, I gave you pactience, I gave you a place here and you don't even care!" He shouted puffing out his fur so he looked twice his size I started to step back in fear I knew if he killed me here than I'd die in real life. "It's only a matter of time" Owlsight said calming down "you can't hide from you destiny." He said staring at me with his cold lifeless eyes I should've realized this along time ago but just then I realized that my brother even if he died when we were just born was gone. And is now this cold merciless monster that is in front of me. "N-no" I stammered "I'll never join you!" I said running away into the forever darkness tears streaming from my eyes though I knew deep down inside me that he was right. That I couldn't hide from me destiny forever.
