Tealstreak sat in her den sorting fresh watermint that she had recently collected into small cracks in the wall that she used to store herbs. She gently placed the last leaf wrap into the crack, not expecting to hear someone behind her.

"Do you.. Need any help?" A small voice murmured. Tealstreak pricked her ears and turned to see Glowkit, Autumnpromise and Troutshadow's smallest kit and only tom.

Glowkit backed away slightly as Tealstreak stared down at him, "I-if not then.. I can just go," he whispered, Tealstreak tilted her head curiously. "Don't you want to play with your siblings?" She asked suprised a kit would want to help her sort herbs and not play games.

Glowkit shook his head, "they're play fighting and talking about who's gonna become the strongest warrior again," he replied bleakly. "Don't you want to be a warrior?" Tealstreak inquired. There was something about him that remind her of herself when she was a kit, the lack of enthusiasm with warrior training, the intrest in what the current medicine cat was doing..

Tealstreak's question seemed to make Glowkit tremble slightly, "being a warrior seems.. Scary. Fighting.. Killing prey.." Glowkit mewed, looking behind Tealstreak at her herb store. "How many herbs can you fit in there?" He asked, suddenly confident enough to walk past me and stare up at the wall. Tealstreak stifled a laugh as she carefully took out a leaf wrap and dropped it down infront of Glowkit. "Quite a lot, why don't I show you some."

"So, what's this one?" Tealstreak asked, pointing her tail towards one of the herbs. "That's uh, Burdock Root! You use it to cure infection.. Right?" Glowkit asked staring up at me with both excitement and hesitation.

Tealstreak nodded, Glowkit was a quick learner. Finally, she decided to ask him a question. "Can I ask you something?" Tealstreak inquired looking down at Glowkit who was looking at her curiosity. "When you're old enough, would you like to become a medicine cat apprentice instead of a warrior?" For the first time Glowkit didn't hesitate to say something. "Yeah!" He squeaked excitedly, making Tealstreak smile down at the young kit.

Before Tealstreak could say anything else Blueviper came running into the medicine den, stumbling slightly. Instantly Tealstreak rushed to her side. "Blueviper what's happened, are you okay, who's hurt?" Blueviper panted as if she had run here from the border and back. "THERE'SACLANMEETINGANDCATSARESAYINGTHATPHOENIXHEARTANDFROGPAWAREMISSINGANDANDAND-!"

Blueviper yowled, Glowkit shrinked into the back of the den, trembling. Tealstreak sighed, "calm down and tell me what happened." She said slowly, placing her tail on Blueviper's shoulder. Blueviper took a deep breath, "there's a clan meeting. And cats are saying that Phoenixheart and Frogpaw are missing," she explained, Tealstreak's eyes widened. "What.." She stammered, Phoenixheart wouldn't leave again, would she?

"Come on," Blueviper insisted, "Heatherstar's calling a clan meeting." Tealstreak closed her eyes, taking everything in. "Alright," she finally said, turning around to look at the small frightened kit in the corner of the den. "Glowkit, go find you mother" she commanded, Glowkit nodded hastily before scarmpering out of the den.

Tealstreak padded out of her den with Blueviper close behind her when, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around for a clan meeting." Heatherstar called on top of high cliffs once everyone was in the clearing.

Heatherstar took a deep breath, looking down at her clan. "As you may know Phoenixheart and Frogpaw haven't been seen all day," she started, murmures and small gasps of shock rippled through the clan. Rainpelt padded up to the front and waved her tail impatiently, the crowd of cats immediately went silent at the command of the well-respected deputy. Rainpelt looked up at Heatherstar and smiled before going back to where she sat.

Heatherstar nodded, "I shall go with Maplewish, Troutshadow, and Reedstorm to Vallyclan to ask them if they've seen them," Heatherstar began once more. "Rainpelt, gather a patrol of your own and go to Ghostclan. Remember, we are not looking for a fight and we won't start one." Rainpelt nodded, "Yes Heatherstar," Heatherstar climbed down to rocks around the waterfall and leaped down in front of the crowd to finish her speech. "If they don't come back by sun rise tomorrow we'll send out a search party." She finished.
