"Do you see that little opening in the mountain?" Phoenixheart asked, pointing to a tiny opening in the stone and rubble. After days of traveling Frogpaw was tired of sleeping out in the cold and traveling everyday.
"Yeah, why?" Frogpaw asked, tilting his head. "That's the main opening." Phoenixheart answered excitedly, "how did you know it was there?" Frogpaw asked turning to his mentor, "how did you know how to get here even? Or how to hunt up here?" Phoenixheart looked around, uncertain what she should say.
"I was taught how to in my dream," she finally lied, she cursed herself silently for how obvious that lie was. Frogpaw didn't say anything, so Phoenixheart couldn't tell whether he believed her or not.
Both cats were caught off guard by a growl behind them, "Who are you two?" A voice snarled, Phoenixheart whiped around to see a white cat with grey spots staring at them menacingly, Frogpaw growled back but Phoenixheart looked at the cat happily.
"Star, its me Phoenix!" She said eagerly, Star's eyes widened as she recognized Phoenixheart. "Phoenixpaw!" Star exclaimed, "it's Phoenixheart now," she explained, puffing out her chest proudly. Star smiled, "it's been a long time," Frogpaw coughed, feeling out of place and confused in this situation.
Star turned to Frogpaw, tilting her head. "And who may you be?" She inquired, Phoenixheart smiled, sitting down between the two. "Star, this is Frogpaw. My apprentice." She explained, Star squealed, "you have your own apprentice now! Thats great," Star turned to Frogpaw, nodding politely. "Hello there young one, I am Star that Shines in the Dark."
"It's nice to meet you too," he said, still slightly confused. "I wish we could have come on better terms," Phoenixheart admitted more solemn. "Oh, so Ruby's message got to you." Star sighed, Frogpaw pricked his ears. "Message?" He asked, Star glanced at Phoenixheart who looked down. She had only told Frogpaw that she had to come here because of a dream she had. "Come inside and I'll explain everything." She said quietly.
