Serena's POV:

The very next morning after dinner, I sat out in the garden fuming at Lady Eden and her utterly disgusting behaviour. How could she be family to the Queen and then insult me like that? And I didn't think that this was just her trying to test my patience. Looking back to the scene last night I could remember seeing a malicious glint in her eyes as if insulting a trusted of the Queen were bringing her pleasure.

Out of her four children, I only found Mercy to be pleasant to talk to and generally interact with. She was definitely more approachable than her three older brothers who acted like really tough bouncers.

It wasn't long before I was approached by the three brothers. I found it a bit strange that Lady Eden wasn't there with them. There were hardly any times during the past few days they were there that the boys travelled away from their mother.

"Hello," they all said in unison.

"Uh, hi," I replied back, politely.

"Guys, I'm tired so I'll head inside and have a nap or something," said Alphonse lazily before heading inside.

His two older brothers eyed me appreciatively.

"Does the lovely lady want to shake hands with Michael?" asked Michael, slyly.

"Does the lovely lady want to talk with Bartholomew?" asked Bartholomew straight after.

"No, the lovely lady does not want to do anything. And are you two flirting with me?" I asked.

"Well, we are but men to your beauty and its haunting trace within our heads attracts us like moths to a light," answered Michael, smartly.

I smiled, showing them my pearly white fangs.

"Love's bite can be painful to some, even heart wrenching," I said.

"Yes, of course. Take your leave, if you will," replied Bartholomew, sending a quick look to his brother.

I got up, making my way past the brothers. I got a quick glimpse before Hallow spun around and began walking back the way he'd come. I was about to call out to him but I figured he probably had things to do.

The rest of my morning passed by uneventfully save for the endless scurrying of my little Koozoo. I was also not blind to the back and forth flights of Hallow's hawk, Gulba. It became afternoon and a nice cool breeze was blowing over where I was sitting in the balcony when I saw a peculiar sight.

Lady Eden was draped in a black cloak and standing under the balcony. She looked around before bringing the large hood over her head and joining in with the steady stream of people making their way in and out of the castle grounds.
