CHAPTER 27

Ria's POV

Nakita ko si Erol na kakalabas lang sa office ni headmaster. Looks like something's bothering him. His eyes were shut at the floor not looking on his surroundings. It was as if he doesn't care.

His thoughts were very deep kaya naman nung dadaanan na niya ako ay hindi niya ako napapansin.

Here I am again hoping to be noticed by someone who doesn't really even care noticing. Someone who will never come while I am waiting. Someone that I love but his love for me is gone.

Nung nasa tapat ko na siya ay bigla siyang tumunghay at parang nagising sa isang panaginip. He immediately turn against me and run towards where he came from. Bigla namang bumukas ang pintuan at nakita ko si Ana kasama yung isang rare type.

For a moment I thought that he noticed me because he avoided me but again that was me, hoping.

It was an everyday torture to see the one who used to love you loving someone else.

Huminga ako ng malalim at lumiko ng daan. I let out my tears na kanina pang nagbabadyang lumabas. It was me who is avoiding them.

It was very hard for me to stay here and leave. I was too late to return in this paradise where I found him.

Dinala ako ng mga paa ko sa madalas ko noong puntahan. It was our favorite spot. Memories are here. Reminiscing what we have shared together. I felt the warm breeze touching my skin. Niyayakap ako ng hangin na naging sandalan ko.

Inikot ko ang puno, ganoon parin ang itsura nito pero may mga scratch at mga namumuong lichen na ang ibang parte. Inakyat ko ito.

I remembered that I was not really fond of climbing a tree. It was him who taught me. Sabi niya kasi mas relaxing daw pag nasa taas na and he was right. That moment when I first climbed up a tree without him helping was very priceless.

Umupo ako sa isang branch doon at dinama ang hangin. Iba parin ang hangin na galing sa kalikasan at kusang dumidikit sa aking balat. I can make air, I can control them but the uncontrolled air is much better. My body is relaxing because of the breeze embracing me.

Inaalala ko lahat ng masasayang pangyayari na naganap sa punong ito. Hinaplos ko ang trunk nito but something caught my eye sa sanga na inuupuan ko.

Ana's Branch

I don't know how will I react to it pero bigla na lang akong nanghina at nagpahulog sa kinatatayuan ko. I don't care what will happen to me if I landed safely or not on the ground.

I don't care anymore.

My tears are running up as my body runs down to meet the ground. It's me again hoping that he would come to save me and help me again to climb up.

I used my super to lift me up so I will not fall hard on the ground. He never came and will never be.

I cried like a baby after I saw it.

May naramdaman naman ako na paparating. I saw an unfamiliar face. He was not heading towards the tree but he's heading towards the forbidden forest.

I remember him. He was a transferee. Si Vince Laurent. I don't know but his actions are very mysterious and suspicious for me.

With my curiosity ay sinundan ko siya sa loob. Unaware of the danger that I will encounter, I continued following him where he was going.

Maingat akong naglalakad para hindi makalikha ng ingay.
